you realise that if its on a main road too long it will get checked, and if its not insured it will still be taken away and crushed,
dont worry about lacquer pealing off your sisters tin
it is insured, my mum's insured it :) was only like £130 tpf&t :) better than having to pay for dents/scratches to be repaired, and a plus side is she can drive it to places and i can learn to drive in it :D

see ur catching me up beau :p

do you really think this will last you the year or more ital take you to pass? Hope it does as its nice, just needs lowering and poss a change of wheels (no more than 16s) and ital be finished! I wouldnt bother with the abarth kit.. its :yuck:

Looks very clean in the photos though (y) just get that engine cleaned up a bit heh.

Glad to see you took my advice Beau.

The pictures on ebay were crap and you couldnt really tell it was burnt orange/copper colour.

Engine looks a right state tbh, you want to buy some gunk and work it into the block etc with a brush and then wash it off.

Lose the sticker in the rear window and the sport badges and just valet it.

don't change the wheels. looks nice as is. and remember about insurance, its a group 5-7 the sporting wheras the 85ELX is 4-7 afaik.

keep it as is until you've got at least 1NCB, then you can start.

I've got 1NCB and 1borrowed (drove under parents name for first year), and I still can't afford to do anything major to my car/anything that doesn't say fiat on the part:rolleyes:

Nice to see it arrived safely beau, looks good, jus dont go putting those ****e marco seats in it that are that horrible blue colour - :yuck: Leave it on the inside, no chrome gearshift either wit tacky blue gaitor lol!

Does look god, and teh abarth kit is the only decent one IMO for a punto, that or good custom ones. Anyway, looks nice, no doubt you'll be asking me to solve all its problems on messenger as usual

Good job Beau, glad you've seen the light and got a more suitable 1st car. Looks well tidy. Don't ruin it, its getting harder to find good condition mk1 sportings that haven't been molested or abused..

Personally, i would lower a little, take them badges off the doors and front arches, exhaust (not a silly one like you put on the turbo, just a subtle 3" or something like that), is that a dent above the rear arch?? and it'd look ace with them wheels in anthracite, and spoiler, wash, polish and valet.

Id agree with that, but the hell this is gona stay standard long, hes already gona be taking his alloys off to hand spray them himself - IDIOT

Jordan

Hey, home spraying you're wheels can be made to last long if done properly, until petrol gets on one , but it's Beau so they will flake or look toss ;)

Beau, looks very good, can't believe I payed as much for my cinq a year ago :(

yup, mk1 puntos' and cinqs are worth absolutly eff all now!!!!

although just flicked thru autotrader and there are dozens of base model mk1's 55 and 60's in std form going for between £1-2k!!!!!!
who in their right mind would give £2k even for a good one is beyond me!!!!

a really mint V plate sporting with ac, might be worth upto £1800 IMO.
but with mk2 jtd's starting from £1250, theere is NO competition there

well what i want to do is lower it, paint alloys anthracite, colour code skirts and handles, tint windows light front and either medium or dark rear and tint rear lights slightly, and 3.5" exhaust too, and want gt steering wheel too, and abarth gear knob too.

today i took off the 16v badges and the sport badges on the doors, but the passenger wing 16v pulled paint off :( but luckily, it needs repsraying anyway :D
