Why did I hear you'd gone outside with a permanent marker to make your wheels black then john?

The only way they was black is cos of lack of washing, now ive given the old girl a spruce up inside and out and the silver is back

Already been to bristol and back by the time i took photo's so its just that high :( all in good time. Like i said i was saving for suspension, managed to get £220 so far.. New conti's from my-tyres is like £237 atm so back to square one on the suspension saving , need some more spacers too, back wheels need to come out a bit more as atm i've increased the track at the front and reduced it at the rear (just with spacers that jamies let me have with them) which has made cornering interesting/amusing and at time a wee bit scarey. Want some hubcentric ones like i got on the front.

How much for conti's??? Jesus!

Round here you could get a set of 4 low profile contis for £30 each, anda set of toyo TR1's or Yokohamas for about £40 Each, thats a bit expensive!

That would be fitted and balanced too

Tell me bout it :(, £60 a tyre I paid from mytyres too for 185/50/14 profile but worth it; they are the best to have in that size. Cars looking good bud, anthracite is the only way to go with a silver car ;). Now just drop it with a full kit (but not too far, watch them speedbumps!) so you don't ELK it :p.

Well i had conti's on my 13" standards, and as far as i'm concerned they were the dog's danglys, these pirelli's are real crap, got 2nd gear wheelspin without trying and in 3rd if you hammer it (and thats with no engine mods), not good, worse than my old nankangs!!

£30 for conti's!! thats well cheap, what conti's would they be though, i'm looking at sportcontacts. I might add i haven't shopped around yet, just looked on mytyres initially cause they usually cheap so as to give me a ball park figure to go n.

Conti's are all my dad uses on his cars, and you can the the low profile high grip ones for that price, with rim protectors also (love teh look of rim pretectors tyres :p ).

I can SO agree with most pirell's being not what they're made out to be, i mean tehy're defo not the worst by a long way, but you can get alot better for a little less money! Road noise is usually massively increased along with wear.

Yeh, i couldn't believe how much more road noise there was when i put these pirelli's on, its such a massive difference!!

Thats so cheap for conti's i never seen them at that price before, it would probably be cheaper to drive all the way there and back to get them than pay the price round here but as if i can be arsed to drive to cumbria from wiltshire for tyres

@faster_4tec: i don't think spending loads of money on tyres is silly no matter what you drive tbh, its what keeps you stuck to the road, which seems quite important to me from a safety point of view. I would have top of the range tyres on an 899 if i had one, seems like a really really stupid place to skimp to me.
