I bought the bonnet second hand and paid nowhere near the full RRP of it which is aroud £550 IIRC.

The company that made it don't have any carbon so they can't make anymore carbon parts

Thats gutting mate.. Thinking about it, would be really hard to skin the boot and not make it look crap, but fully think you should think about getting a quote for a one to be made up, would fully finish off the back of the car a treat. And i still say you need carbon mirrors too.. and looking back at the pics, when you skin the roof, get some extra to do the door pillars in, would look ace..

The roof skin only comes up to the small ridge in the roof. above the door, so can't add the door pillars.

Its going to cost a small fortune for a tailgate in carbon, I would love it but its really unlikely

Fair do's i'll stop saying do it do it do it at you now.. So the roof skin comes as a pre-cut piece then?? when i said do the pillars i mean from bottom of window to the top so that there is no yellow between front and back window, a piece that big can't be that much i shouldn't think. It would look ace just with black vynil but just to keep it tied in i said carbon, just an idea ignore me if you want, i just get a bit excited, i love carbon too but just not in position to mod my car really so i have to pick on you lot. lol

All stripped out now and all the old dynamat removed. Harnesses relocated.

Yep, going to degrease the inside tomorrow and paint all the non yellow bits yellow again.

When I get a respray next year, all the interior metal will get painted the same colour as the outside. Might even go for a shell respray.

Cage should be ready to fit next month too.

Chris why remove the dynamat, wouldnt it been good to of kept it to deaden the exhaust or arnt you gunna have a loud one.

It was there doing nothing. I don't mind the noise, My exhaust is loud, but not too loud.

I removed about 15kgs of dynamat. Every little helps. Plus it was the wrong colour.

wasnt your cage a mk2 one ? you modding it to fit ?

Yep, doesn't need much doing to it. A friend of mine makes cages and doesn't want much to tweek it.
