Punto (Mk1) few pics of my baby

Introduction

This is my lil punto gt on an s plate

There are just too many mods so I wont even bother the car is being rebuilt in every way oneday shell be good as new :) only better

what you all think :slayer: ?
she lovely u must be so proud lol! she looks damn good for an S plate too x x

please note.. anyone thinking of buying a gt should know I have spent a lot of money on mine to put it right. As it is now the car is just about sound, except for worn pistons, valves & cam shaft. it still runs fine though it just has to be expected. The car will be getting a full engine build to make it complete I hope for 220-40 hp with this engine or 300 with the help of nos :)

My aim is to make this one of the sickest gt's in the country

Oh n if you wanted to buy it when done, I would not take a penny less than 10k not that i would ever part with the car. Shes insured for 8k as it is now(y)

below are pictures of the big valve head I should have soon from Italy. Also my accralite forge pistons. I also have a colombo & bariani fast road cam to fit. I need the oe turbo building to spec, a manifold & some forge con rods

only then will this car be a true animal

for sure... but then again thats the same for any car, and the more you mod the engine / unleash more power, the more risk there is of something going wrong in a big way.

all im after is something quicker and bigger than the cento, a seb2 set up gt would be fine for me, as it is just to tie me over for a few years till i can afford wat i really want.... an old skool mitsi evo 3 :worship:

i am lookin forward to following this things progress tho, will be interesting to see how close to your plans you get :slayer:

all these gt owners are doing my head in now, i want one bad enough, then you put the cherry on top and show us your SILVER gt!! :D

i love it, love silver puntos. one day the sporting will be making way for the gt.

how much the the forged piston and everything else cost? am gonna be wanting to do some majour engines mods when i get mine

oh only bad thing is .... i see no anthractie wheels ;) :p *

To get the car to my planned standard thousands & thousands to give you an idea. I have around 16k in the car as it is. There is no budget. I only buy the best parts available also.

Hey looking good there, maybe I could see you about some some time. But I don't know what I am doing yet  I like to have a bash at doing it my self but ill see I maybe just end up buying some of the shelf. Amps on the doors would be cool though I have measured up and drilled the holes got the rough mouldings, but its time im constantly doing other things. Hopefully I will get the front jl components in early next year. Have you drilled out the center of the plug that goes to the electrics in the doors & run the wires through it yet ?...........

i think you should strip the car out completely!! :slayer:

Been there done that. That's probably why your cars wet under the interior carpet & mine isn't yes the punto mk1 lets water in from the underside of the floor pan & the bulk head also leaks:p

;) Didnt realise that was a cmoon known fact, not yet as there coming off in a little while and i'll chuck them, going for something better imo, but staying with those comps coz quite simply, they're awesome. Anyway, whatever you do i dont mind giving you some friendly advise if you need it, and post up whatever you do :) - makes for interesting reading!

when these cars were made the manufacturer dipped the floor pan in a vat of paint. the floor pan has 8 semi curcular cut outs in it for draining the paint it was dipped in. fiat unfortunately did not seal these holes as they should have been. all that seals these holes is the under seal on the underside of the car & a bit of sound deadening. Water can & does leak trough over time. Also the floor pan flexes so its possible these cut outs will be noticeably out of place and not sealed when looking under the car. If you have ever got in your car n thought what is that smell its the water underneath the rubber lined interior carpet. I had to glass my floor pan & seal also the water that leaks in from the bulk head (n)
