its taken me a while to get used to the looks, i love it from the rear (no quotes please :D ) but the front reminds me of a badger ( ) the colour is striking is it metallic - reminds me of the lambourgini paint on the focus st always grabs the right attention. the interior is quite harsh on the eye but i like the colour combination i just would have designed a little more subtle. overall a defo thumbs up!!!!

You must have good looking badgers up your way.
Paint is not metalic but is quoted as special by fiat (£200 extra:confused: ) colour is slightly darker than a focus but i think better looking and half the price, certainly is an eye catcher - if you don't like people staring this is not your colour.

I like the colour, its distintive, and should last over time better than the broom yellow (tends to fade at different rates so you get white bumpers and baby sick coloured car:( )

love the interior too, except that ipod thing, can't it plug into the centre console and be operated down in the handbrake well (bit of gaffer tape(y) ).

mats are a bit, err vibrant. but they match and it doesn't matter what colour or shape they are as long as they stop your real carpets going mankey thats all that counts:)

Glad you like it.
The ipod can be operated anywhere in the car that the lead will strech to basically but is designed to be placed in the exact spot you suggest fits perfectly there, I have it high because i like to see the screen as i rather use the ipod's interface than the fiat one that prefers to use a playlist system. I am on the lookout for a better mount though as the one you see is actually for my Dell Axim PDA for when i use satnav. I will post new pics when that happens.

Not a bad colour, looks like you are driving a big satsuma. Prefere my grande in red, but the mats are tacky !, but that is down to personel choice, i had the same reaction off certain people with my old mk 2 hgt in yellow. If you were driving a orange focus st220, people would have different views.Good that somebody likes to be different. Go del monte !!!!!

Will that cable reach down (concealed) to the back of the coins tray/cubby hole? If so I will produce an Ipod slot for the GP.

Yeah the cable is long enough - though i don't know what obstructions there are to feed behind the dash over to the tray but should be ok with a bit of trial and error.
What do you have in mind - when you say by Ipod slot - for me ipod would need to be in my vision as i like to select off Ipod screen.

Yes, my design relies on controlling the Ipod from the head unit. Heres a pic.
I am at a Fiat dealers tomorrow so will attempt to get a spare coins tray and start making a template.

Hi

Do you have the blue and me system fitted?
When i connect my ipod to the car the tracks appear on the dash so i can leave it out of view in the glovebox.

My car is fitted with the convergence system which predates Blue and me (still has blue tooth etc) very similar but ipod connects via a cable not usb it does not show track names only numbers

i actually like the colour a lot (it reminds me of the focus) , and although i dont rate the GP very highly, at least you got the 1.9 Sporting so its still a good car overall. (y)

those mats must have come from halfrauds, no one else would stock them.

every car deserves the original contour mats from the dealer, and they always give them free with a new car if you ask nicely enough. go back and demand some mats for free. they wont give you the deep pile ones now, but you'll still be able to get the thin carpet ones if you bug them for half an hour. go on i dare you. shy bairns get nee broth

I had some mats free with car - prefer to use the orange ones - no point having black mats on an orange car.

Great looking motor,

although sorry to say have to agree with others on the mats, but hey each to there own!
still a top motor whatever mats you put it!!!

nice car mate got 1 myself.but sorry only 1 colour is exotica red that rools the school.try dark tints on the windows and the need 4 speed front spoiler it gives the car a more aggresive stance and sets it apart from the gutless active sports.
