Im guessing he did what I have done, build the install to hold itself apart. The center piece keeps the side pieces upright and inplace.

Faded red anyone?

Looks damn good! Reminds me, I might carpet my ugly-but-tough bare MDF bass box next week, it's well over 2 years since I built the thing in the 1st place [xx(]

no i dont mean it like that. doesnt the whole lot slide around in the boot? I had to drill wholes through the metal floor so i could screw my install down so it didnt move... problem is i have to unscrew the lot to get the spare out!

Well if you build the install to fit exactly to your boot, it wont move around at all. The sides of the boot area will hold the structure together.

The first thing I did was to put a piece of mdf on the floor of the boot. The whole lot is screwed to this to keep it secure. As other pieces went in, they were all screwed together. Bloody tight fit anyway.

There is a gap behind that front piece. Its actually 2 sub boxes with a piece of mdf covering the 2. In that gap I have my cd changer and my spare which I access by the back seats. Spare (aka tyre weld) lol.

A spare is no good to me anyway as I need a trolley jack for my car. The standard jack would just crumbe my fibreglass skirts
