... well a couple of weeks ago someone decided to steal my bottom centre grille :tosser: and the mesh went with it :bang: and for a while now the there has been a dent in the bottom left mesh that i have never got round to sorting. so i decided to do a complete overhaul!

i also went to town on the top grille and made sure it was spot on!

ok before you give your opinion just bear this in mind (or if anyone has some spare time and photoshop would be helpful??)

the rub strips will be colourcoded and so will the plastic part of the top grille.








and after being told "it cant be done" i did the back too



i know its dirty and in the last picture the axhaust looks a bit to one side but that aside....what do you think?

But i think colour coding the grill would look OTT, why not just ket rid of the surrounding grill and mesh it? It looks minted as it is though!

Looks good mate, will look even better once you get the bump strips and plastic surround done.

You ever thought about having the bump strips removed and having it all smoothed?

i have been tempted but feel that kind of thing is a big step that cant be easily reversed if i dont like it

Looks OK mate did you have to take your bumper off to mesh the bottom sections ? mine needs doing on my 5dr could get a rocket propelled ****e hawk in there the rad definitely needs protecting

no they carefully pull out but your bumber is different to mine so not sure how you would do it?

I was going to suggest that. Buy another bumper incase it doesnt turn out well

if i went down that route i would prob spend the little extra and get a modified one. oh and it wasnt that long ago i needed the towing eye on the front still a good suggestion though

Not a fan of plain mesh to be honest, it looks too bright, cheap and well out of place (sorry but you did ask). I do feel it would look nice if sprayed black though

Looks good mate, the meshing is very well done. I have seen some Stilo's, one in particular where the mesh was a complete mess as it was all wonky but yours is spot on Nice one

nothing wrong with honesty was thinking of getting them powdercoated but wasnt sure what colour. i think black is too similar to the origional plastic grilles though and my aim was to be unique! thats why i did the back, was a pain in the a**e though to do it. :bang:

Well you can photoshop a few before you decide, the choice is endless! I just suggested black as the trend around here is going back towards very subtle bodywork, but then who wants to be trendy? I usually go against it

thanks for that, its always nice to get your opinion if any part of it went wonky or wrong while i was doing it i would have started again. it would haunt me otherwise

been trying to catch up on your vxr thread and the fact that when you get it warm it grows an errection :devil: and shows its tatoo on the end

i used to go for subtle but recently i enjoy standing out i do hope i get a slap though if im found going ott

ok, any chance someone could do two photoshops for me please? one with the rubstrips and grille surround blue and the mesh as it is and the same again but with black mesh? then i will put them to the vote?

Not perfect but you get the idea. I wasn't sure what was going on around the centre badge because the pics were fairly low res so I just done what I could.
