What kind of BHP figures are we looking at for putting the turbo on the 1242? What about torque? I bet it'll wheel spin right up to 50mph!
Damn I want one but I'm paying over a grand for a turbo conversion.

On 13's the silver 1242 feels more lively, like a little terrier. Turbo 1108 feels a little heavy, maybe to do with the bigger wheels, I dunno. Don't think there would be that much in it head to head right now, but the turbo's getting 13's and a 1242 so it might be bloody scary after that.

i'm going right back to the start with this, but Fixit, you said it goes "vroom Pishtt" too? so you have a dump valve?? i didn't think that was nessecary with the vanaaken..........although blatently its better with one!

Yup, it's got a dump valve. Better for longer life of the turbo, apparently.

so is the "pisssht" (lol) noise loud? because i was always under the impression that the the dump valve wouldn't be that loud with a low-pressure turbo like the vanaaken??
I don't think a turbo is that sensible for me just yet, i'll be coming up for 2 years no claims when i re-insure this year. Maybe next year I just hope that Vanaaken don't discontinue the kit before i can buy one!!![xx(]

It's not really loud, but today I was going to the takeaway with the bairn for tea. Arse in a Fiesta was right up behind me, came to the red traffic lights, he passed me on the inside (had to be past dontchaknow) ands we ended up stopped next to each other. He looks over with a little sneer, so I did a couple of full throttle rev-ups to get the dump valve doing it's stuff and his chin disappeared under the door line.
