That is I can tell you it isnt a TDI 150- it was never used in the Passat. Its either a 100 or a 130, easy way to tell: if it kicks you back in the seat when you boot it, its a 130

Just becos you said one of the owners was a rep so was expecting a 150k motorway mile muncher! but 74k is pretty low for an ex repmobile

Very true, me uncles bmw ex repmobile had 136k on it. One should remember though that so long as it has been serviced properly this is no bad thing - motorway driving is easy on engine and brakes compared to speeding up and slowing all the time..
