Hi guys, as promised here are some new pictures (taken with a digital camara) last time I went to the car wash. As for the engine, it's not the 155 hp engine, but the 185 hp version (2.0 16V IE Turbo from the Thema) :D (Check out my other topic --> Pictures of a Tempra). I'm negotiating with the guy, so I'll have more news on that later. As for the fact that a V8 would "unbalance" the car, it probably would since the V8 is a bit heavy, but a 2 liter engine is no problem for the Tempra, since in Brasil you had 2 liter versions producing 155 hp [^] (and here in Portugal you had 1.8 liter engines).

Since I'm planning to buy the whole car, I'll be able to use other parts from the Thema (gearbox, brakes, etc) to upgrade the car.

Enjoy the pictures ;) Sorry if they take a while to download ;)

Hi guys, thanks for the comments! As for your questions:
1 - Dave (Polecat), you can buy the same spoiler online at www.pamkitcar.com (I bought mine at a local tuning shop). Go to the universal parts page, second page and you can get one for 179 Euros (I don't know if they ship abroad since it's a french site)
2 - Pete (fixitagaintomorrow), I'm counting on it as soon as I get the engine in my Tempra. I'm also planning on fitting a Turbo kit from Castelli-Italtec, which will increase the power output to 236 hp :D [}:)] :D
3 - Steve C, the "dodgy looking bloke" is the proud owner of this fine italian machine. Henrique Silva, a.k.a Tempramental ;)

To all the guys and gals at Fiat Central a great 2004 and keep on coming with the posts!

Very nicely modified, clean-looking car. The key is you haven't gone too far! Best Tempra I've ever seen anyway:)

Hi Donz,

This is how it looks now, but changes will include (very soon I hope) some Escort Turbo air vents (functional not adhesive), fog lights and aluminum mesh at the front grill.

It may take some time, as I will have to do some work on the bonnet to insert the vents.

Is the Tempra and the Seat Toledo (the old shape, not the new one) basically the same car? I was looking at a Toledo the other day wondering this?

Well the old Toledo and the Tempra have some similar traces in their bodyline, but still Tempra has the better looks :D.

As for styling, here are some interesting links

www.aez-wheels.com --> you can see a Tempra with different types of rims. Looks cool because the Tempra seems to be lowered, giving you an idea of how the car will look with bigger rims and lowered.
www.ccmotorsport.co.uk --> online tuning shop with some parts for a Tempra

And although it has larger wheels, this week I managed to hit 204 kmh with the 1.4 liter carbureted engine [:0][:0][:0]. I have a picture of the dash marking 199 kmh (taken with a Nokia so resolution isn´t that great). I´ll upload it later this week...

the toledo was based on the VW Jetta

Met Cognac 99 Brava 100 HSX, what do you want? cupholders? open door warning light? grow up!

Nope, the Seat Toledo. Although there are also some similar traces with the Vauxhall Vectra from the early 90's
