Uno My MK1 uno turbo

Introduction

Hi all,

I finally pulled the turbz out of the garage for a bit of a wash as it was really dusty, i am going to be driving the car in a couple of months so time to finish off a few odds and ends, just thought i'd post a picture to show you all what it looks like,

its a MK1 uno turbo,
1301cc
1988 spec with the turbo written on the seats,
How cool does that mk1 Uno turbo look?!!!!!

Time has been very kind to the looks of the mk1. Looks wicked in black, and the chunky styling is very retro. Imagine the heads that will turn when it's on the road!

Hmmm, maybe I should think about finding a turbo doner for my mk1 after all :chin: :D

i know where you can get one mate

Don't tempt me!

I keep seeing them come up on Ebay and thinking that maybe I should...

But I'm going to be skint for the next 3.5 years so I'd better not tempt fate, as much as I would like a turbo. Plus I need to keep my car on the road so I can get to and from University, so a Dunc/ Fro$ty style rebuild is out of the question :(

But a 1242 Punto 75 lump, now that's just a weekends work to install ;)

It will be on the road eventually, but because of a bunch of cowboys who call themselves chevron car centre its still unfinished,

I have paid them a couple of thousand pounds for an engine rebuild and now they dont wanna finish the job.

am in constant contact with trading standards trying to resolve the matter

finally got around to taking some decent pictures, i'm hoping to finish the car this year if things work out.

need to sort out some decent doorcards and a standard gear nob :)

i'm gonna be working on it over the next few days, i want to strip back the wheel arches and re-paint them and underseal them.

hope you all like the pictures, there are some decent mk1 uno turbo's left :)

Hey hey, Saxokiller didn't know it was you, bud.

Preferred the car on the std wheels tbh, the 15s suit the red one better IMO.

Still, gorgeous paintwork....!!

the standard wheels are crap!

looks much better with the super leggeras
