this is me guys, last post on this one

no one tries to compete against the ferraris and lambo's, purely because they are such a niche market, but if you want big greats from the jap side, try skyline, impreza, lancer and of course the previously mentioned RX8.

i hope fiatforum continues to grow, i'm not sure about the transition to fiatcentral, but as i rarely post and don't own a fiat it's no longer my place to comment.

i had hoped to still have my fiat for the second FF meet, but alas its time has passed, so all i can say is hf gl.

My next car will most probably be a Jap one. The Japs make some of the best cars ever imo! Subaru Impreza, Mitsibushi Evo + FTO, Toyota Celica + Supra, Mazda RX7. I like the new Celicas, but just about everyone I've seen had a woman driving it. It comes across as a bit of a ladys car[)]

Jap Crap!!!

Should've got a Mk1 Punto GT Turbo, or a Mk2 HGT! Much better looking, Italian, and without the Mk3's ugly VW Polo . Good looking Suzuki? No chance.
I hope the performance compensates for the half-baked styling! Just another far-eastern car that looks like a shrunken MPV. Soulless, dull and looks-just-like-everyting-else.
FIATS are renowned for being different, thats the main reason we love 'em!
Look how every other dull car manufacturer is now copying the original Punto's design: small & chunky; high roof, tall rear lights, smooth bumpers, etc. MkII Corsa? Bloody fraudulent. New Fiesta (and Focus)? Blatand rip-off of the Mk1.
Lets have some originality from the likes of GM, Ford, PSA etc. No more ripoff Punto's. Ugly as it is, the new Micra is a breath of fresh air!

Gosh you lot can be so bloomin' horrid!

As a fellow Fiat traitor all i can say to you Donz is well done. It was hard for me to tear myself away from the car i'd always wanted (cinq & punto) but in the end your head must rule. My clio saved me a fortune, has far better performance than the punto, loads more gadgets, better reliability and OUTSTANDING customer service from Renault. Best decision i've ever made buying this car. And it came in my fave colour Ok so they're pretty common but all the other benfits cancel this downside out.

Your Ignis is an inspired individual choice, stands out from the crowd and goes like the nuts. I hope it makes you grin when you're behind the wheel! We all have our own reasons for the decisions we make so lets stop arguing about it people MMMMKAY!
Who wants to be like everyone else?! Not I said the wolf!

Had a Cinq, bought a new Clio, so now I don't have a Cinq.

You be who ever you wanna be, just remember to wear your crash helmet in your Suzuki, is that because they make motorcycles or because you'd like to hide your identity?

Lower it!! It looks like a 4x4 but its unusual and will look pretty cool lowered 50mm or more.
Sorry, may get some stick for this, but i like jap cars too. My previous car was a 98 primera GT. It looked like something a pensioner should drive but scared the s**t out of most boyracers/BMW.... drivers (once had a 180 TT admit defeat at a 130mph, on a private road of course) it was really reliable and handled very well. I sold it and bought a Galaxy tdi for the wife (to carry the 3 kids, windsurf and surf gear....) and a cinq sporting for me as it was the most fun car i could afford. While i'll be keeping the Fiat and modding the engine (want to keep it looking standard) I'll ultimatly be buying a japanese project car: early 80's rear wheel drive toyota corolla to restore and modify.
