Here's my machine

I've been driving it since 2001, but it was bought new in 1996. A nice every day car and I'm trying to improve it's looks and it's handling.

Waiting for a nice shiny day to take pics of engine and interiors...

nice but its needs clear side repeators and alloys!

Yeah, Beau is right (for once ), get some nice alloys on that, get clear side repeaters, if you want to stretch this far smooth the bumpers and tinted rear clusters and you have my idea of a perfect Mk1

Yeah, working on it... Alloys are the next step... or a new radio... Hmmmm

Notice the broken fog lamp in the first pic... Already fixed Too bad they're expensive.

I'm trying to find the original MK1 GT alloys. Thinking of painting them antracite like the ones fitted in the most recent version of the MK1 GT. Any opinions???

Yes, my opinion with alloys is just find a set of what the top of the range car uses, it suits the car better always and not only that it then doesnt make you look like an aftermarket boyracer IMO

Yes bodywork dose look great for the age, if you wana improve the handling lower it after youve fitted your alloys and maybe a strut brace aswell!

Hmmm nice to see these opinions match my list of things to do:

alloys
white blinkers
lower it 2 or 3 cm
strut brace
new radio (VDO DAYTON CD 5403 MP3)
maybe a new steering-wheel, from the GT

Not necessarily by this order...

You could almost eat your food off your driveway , looks like the cars just rolled out the showroom - unlike someone's.

You guys are too kind. I need to take some closer pics to show some of the "bruises"...

It doesn't have rust spots, but has some scratches in the doors. I'll take some pics soon. It also needs to be resprayed, because the front and rear side panels have been resprayed due to some damage caused in minor accidents (not my fault ).

The one's fitted in the MK2 HLX might look nice... A few months ago I were this close to buy a set...

The multi spoke mk2 punto abarth 15" wheels look good on the mk1's

and a set of sporting/gt side skirts would look good makes a big difference.

When I was talking about Mk2 Sporting Alloys, I was referring to the comment about standard wheels, not saying he should put them on his car
