Has anyone ever owned a decent vauxhall/opel? f**k the styling, as far as mechanicals go they are one of the best cars produced in europe, and one of the cheapest. @ least comparing to the equivalent Ford counterparts, opel always beats hands down.
And as far as the styling of the new vectra goes, u guys should expand your horizons a bit, the design is not the easyest to understand (It looked terribly silly to me when I first saw it) but after a year of parking next to one, I've fallen in love. Its the most elegant midclass sedan in production today IMO, and its got a lot more attitude than the stilo that loox pretty much like your average VW golf or a Corolla (well the latter one is obviously a ripoff, then again..)

Hlmst - You cannot compare a Stilo with a Golf/Corolla. It has sooo much more attitude and is far better looking. I agree that the styling of the new Vectra grows on you but cannot agree about the mechanicals! I had an old shape Vectra (2001MY) and it was the worst and most unreliable car I have ever had (yes, even compared to a Stilo!). On Fiats little things go wrong - on this Vectra it was big things that needed the AA on more than one occasion and 16 full days in the dealership - and I only had the car 8 months!!

Have to say I have a pathological hatred of Vauxhalls. Always have done ever since I was a wee lad! I hate them so much that when it looked likely GM would be buying the rest of Fiat I bought a Nissan as a protest; big mistake, thats why Im getting a Panda! Anyway GM may have made some fast cars but they are still pants, so dull and also not reliable, nothing going for them really:D
