Sounds like a 899 on permanent cold with tappets my guess was exactly that (tappets) but dont think he's sure (unless he got anywhere further since sat lol )

How much towing has the cinq done, and what has it been towing do you know? That could have contributed to the engine damage

What boost will this cinq boost up to? in bar

Pete not quite sure, sounds it imo not 100%, permanent but goes with engine speed, just like tappets would, could barely hear it when driving mind lol, think alex said the guy said had towed a bike or something... where's alex when you need him lol

erm i'm here! dad's gone away and i know bugger all so i can't be of help until he's back which is tomorrow... and sadly its not his priority.

Driving the thing today it feels super smooth and on boost it goes perfectly like a rocket.
theres just the tapping sound mostly heard at idle or low engine speed.
The car runs quite hot too (above 90) It doesn't like getting on boost, if u just stomp your foot down it'll argue and grumble and bunny hop mildly, but i put this down to the shoddy wiring on the MF2 because when u coax it on boost its fine.

Until its cracked open i can't say anymore than that i'm afriad

Like Ive suggested, get a stethoscope on it, find the noise...

But from what you and Alex (Ghost) have told me it sounds like either worn cam and/or cam bearings and/or tappets.

If its cam wear then odds are the bearings are worn too, and thats a new head job.....

I know this as I starved my 1242cc's head of oil, it sounded tappy up to 2500rpm, then induction and other noise drowned it out!

EDIT: well actually just after that point coz i'm not on boost at 2,500

So Alex, will the yellow internals be transplanted to make Enzo a blower or is it the end for Enzo?
