My ladís ride

My lad was offered a 2004 1.2 8v Active by a friend of mine who was about to scrap it - seemed rude to turn down a free car

Passed its MoT with only advisories on the front disk condition and one tyre close to wear limit.

Few bits and pieces already taken care of, few others still to do, so thought I would start a thread to show my progress!

Forward / back gear linkage replaced (failed on the first drive!)
Left / right gear linkage adjusted as 5th was very difficult to find - now shifts with ease.
Front bumper - replaced as the original was damaged.
Drivers door check strap replaced as it had sheared off.
Wipers replaced with the correct 22” / 18” as it came with a pair of 18” wipers on the front.
Wiper linkage needs replacing - kit on order.
Spare key needed as it only came with one blue key.
O/S headlight is cloudy and both O/S and N/S have broken mounts, so might look at replacing both.
Oil seepage may need some attention, might do a full gasket replacement and service when the weather gets a bit warmer.

Re: My ladís ride

Fitted the Wipex wiper arm kit today, seems pretty good, time will tell.

Had a bit of fun trying to get a good wiper position without hitting the scuttle panel, the a pillar, the other wiper or a combination of!
