My Grande Punto 1.9 Multijet Sporting

This is my '07 Grande Punto 1.9 Multijet Sporting. I got her a mid-last year and spent plenty of time getting her roadworthy again, she sat for two years or so before coming to me on the back of a truck. If I didn't take the car then it was doomed for the scrap heap and I couldn't say no to a 1.9 Turbo Diesel.Came to be as a non-runner that ended up being a burnt starter motor and in the end a seized alternator that threw the belt when we gave in and gave it a gentle bump. It's not been modified because sadly being a first car I had to stick a black box on and they didn't like the sound of anything I asked them about (Apart from my wheels, of course. I plan to probably change the colour of those and get them refurbished at some point)! Paint needs dealing with on the car as she's a bit beat up and scratched but nothing too terrible! Hope she continues to run for as long as possible (140K miles means I'm certainly keeping a close eye on things!)

As a little sidenote, if anyone has any general tips when it comes to these I'd love to know!

Hi, I have just bought a punto 1.9 sporting multi jet, with excactly the same circumstances, new starter new alternator lol, but after changing these parts the car still won't start, just turns over but no fuel getting through. Did you have this issue?

Is the chip in the key being read ok?

Does the pump under tear seat whirr for 10 seconds as you turn the key?

The key is being read fine I believe as it flashes when I put it in then goes out with all other lights. The coil light flashes for about half a minute, but it starts on easy start then cuts out.
