Hello, I'm new on this forum, I'm looking for help, I need to replace the piston rings on my Fiat 850 1972 engine type 100GBC 903cc and can't find the Torque specification for the rod piston bearing conector, really need your help thanks!
I think 25 lb-ft is correct for the 843cc models but the 903cc engine (similar to what is used in the 127) needs 29 lb-ft of torque applied to the con rod (what you call a piston rod) bearing cap.
Also the flywheel torque (just in case you've removed it) is 33-36 lb-ft on the 903cc engine (28 lb-ft on the 843cc engine).
I don't have an 850 'shop manual to hand, I obtained these figures from a car service data manual, maybe someone who has a manual could check?
