Re: Pics of the wifeís 500 twinair 2011(modified in progress still)

Not had the chance to do anything to the car recently due to my wife working the weekends. Which means no pics. Will be doing some things this weekend to it tho for sure. So will get some pics . In the process of getting Abarth side skirts and front bumper hopefully but will need spraying so won’t be going on for a bit.

Been enquiring also about front mount intercoolers and also hybrid turbo for it. Would be nice to get around the 150bhp mark. I assume that is prob around the max fo the engine before forging it and not going down that route.

Re: Pics of the wifeís 500 twinair 2011(modified in progress still)

Right have a little update.

Done a few bits this weekend on the car. One bit was on the sport bumper I have wrapped the rear diffuser , and reflector surrounds in the carbon wrap. I also have done the rear Fiat badge in black, 268 white and carbon wrap. Made such a difference. Pain to do tho. Takes quite a while.

Today I got the car motíed and past nicely. Once home I change the spark plugs and I also had a mess around with the original air box. I wanted an induction filter so I made one up with a ram filter and an alloy pipe. Got the mikalor clamps to. Now as you all know with induction kits they all suck in hot air and thatís not a good thing. So I thought if I could use the original engine cover and I could use the cold air intake pipe to push and suck cold fresh air into the filter. Plus I think it looks pretty cool. Not finished yet as got to now make it in carbon fibre. My next step. Lol. Here are a few pics any way

Thanks mike. I must say I enjoy wrapping. I just take my time and if I mess up I will just redo it until I’m happy. The ocd in me.

Another weekly update;

Picked up an Abarth front bumper complete and in excellent condition and also Abarth side skirts.

Spent along time da ing the bumper as a lot of light scratches but it now shines lovely. Itís now on the car.

Taking the bumper off I noticed that the air on rad at the bottom is going. Two rows of the rad have fallen out. Is this a common thing??? Looks like I will be buying another aircon rad. O well.

I have connected up the fog lights with the connector thatís already there. Does anybody know the best way to get these to work as I assume that part of the loom isnít connected to the switch as itís not working. Be good to get it to work and I will also change the switch to the front and back fog light switch .

Also got the side skirts on this evening. I have just Mastersealed them on. And loads of it. They are not moving one bit. Need to now da them as there are some marks on them but should get 99% out then touch in a few stone chips and the Masterseal so it all blends.

Window tint turned up in the week so will be fitting at some point . Itís only a 35% for the main rear screen and the two rears sides. Should make a nice bit of difference. Not usually a tint fan but I think for this it will look good with all the carbon wrap and real carbon pieces that I have and many more to come.

I have a few pics of the front bumper on the car.

Re: Pics of the wifeís 500 twinair 2011(modified in progress still)

The bottom row of fins fell off the condenser on my twinair when I had the bumper off. It doesn't effect much especially in cooler climate as long as the rest of the fins are all good, ie not corroded and flake off when touched lightly. Nothing to worry about.

Re: Pics of the wifeís 500 twinair 2011(modified in progress still)

Thatís good to know. It would be a pain to change as it would need all charging up again. Might do it at some point as I like to know itís all as it should be. But can wait a bit now . Thankyou .
