I have a seicento 1.1 sporting
The car runs fine but in traffic or idling cuts out and take 15-45 mins to start again and happens quite often.
I have had it serviced and changed the crank sensor.
I took it to mechanics and he said it's the way and it's not worth fixing.
Which I think is a crying shame as I love driving it.

Just wondering if anyone has had same problem or know a solution to the problem

Check for vacuum leaks, especially the small hoses under the air filter box. If you are cheap repair it with RTV and zip ties. Other candidate is the hose to the emissions canister, which also draws vacuum before the solenoid.

Check the nominal values of the temp sensor, and change your mechanic.
