Re: Y10 4wd

Still having some occasional running problems which seem fuel-related. Vernon is kindly checking if he has one, but does anyone else have a Bosch (not Webber) SPI throttle body spare? Likely to be from a 93 onwards. Same as: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2723273468...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

In other news, electric windows (ooh) now fixed.

Thanks
David

Re: Y10 4wd

Thanks Freddy. Part ordered and has arrived. Been distracted by trying to get something ready for the 4x4 weekend. Thanks to @andyholli for the assistance this eve. With the aid of a rubber glove and a cycle puncture repair kit we seem to have 3WD, or 4WD with some minor assistance from outside the car. Training will be offered to willing volunteers on Saturday!

Re: Y10 4wd

Latest udate: 4WD seems to be working (I think!). Throttle body changed, seems to have helped with running (perhaps inadvertently found vacuum leak). Anti-rattle clips fitted to brake pads have cured a rattle. They won't however cure the dry joint in the rack - would appear that a clip on the gaiter has been missing for a while and the joint has gone dry. New rack sought!

Re: Y10 4wd

Is the rack the same as a Panda or do I recall the Y10 having a different steering arm setup on the suspension strut and it is therefore different? Funny we didn't spot the loose gaiter last weekend, but I guess we weren't looking for it!
