Cinquecento Hensey's 1386 16v build

Introduction

Some may or may not know my 1242 8v Schumacher seicento build thread here:
https://www.fiatforum.com/showthread.php?t=428240

But anyway I been lusting for a Cinq for a very long time and a good friend of mine decided it was time to get rid off his so I couldn't say no for the price
Spec at the min from what previous owner has told me is
P75 engine (inlet manifold is broken so if anyone has a spare lying around give me a pm)
P55 six speed gearbox
Comp m05s
Lowered 40mm
Pollybushed here and there have found the rear trailing arm and tbelt engine mount bushes in the boot
Pgt brakes all round with drilled and groved discs
Omp steering wheel and maybe an omp boss
Yellow Lockwood cluster faces
Full supersprint exhaust system including super sprint 4-2-1 manifold
Meant to have a 40mm tb haven't checked this yet

And maybe a few other bits and bobs I've missed or I haven't found yet

Currently the heads off the engine it come with every thing to refit but some how the inlet manifold has been broken so I need for find one or another head with one and needs the rear callipers re fitting the are brand new in a box in the boot i've looked all over and the only rot I can find is in the wheel arches

So the game plan is to get it running and driving so I can make sure the running gears okay then straight onto getting her looking nice

Now boost is loading I am in the process of buying parts as and when they come up forsale or Making it myself but so far I've got a manifold and decomp plate

Right so now to some pictures of the old girl IMG_1474743714.358328.jpg

Hensey's 1242 8v turbo build

So as some may or may not know I went in the other cinq to get some parts off mr cook mainly abarth bumpers and my decomp plate so decided to have a play around and got them test fitted to see what they look like and have to say removing the bumpers on a Cinq is so much easier then a Sei oh and replaced the rear bumper brackets too

Oh and I brought and exhaust off Brooky just need to get some claps to get it to stop blowing and get it sitting right in the bumper

chii's front bumper will be going on with my apron seemed like having a yellow bumper would be easier to paint then having to plastic prime the unpainted one ect

So fitted the apron onto the front bumper still have to cut everything out for the fogs ect but the bumpers are nearly ready for paint

also built the rear brakes up so i can build brake pipes and bleed everything up then ill get round to ordering rear discs

Re: Hensey's 1242 8v turbo build

Cant you get the disks machined to take off the surface rust? They look like nice ones

I hadn't noticed the reg of your cinq - amazing! There cant be many N reg cars left.

That's the plan, Try and save them anyway and yeah there can't be many left well thinking about it my little circle of cento friends I talk to on a daily basis all of us have n reg Cinqs apart from 1 who has an r reg

Re: Hensey's 1242 8v turbo build

how bad is the surface rust?? Having at times had lots of cars, many of them ended up sitting for long periods and getting very rusty discs - just used to wire brush them off and then drive them. They soon clean off but does depend how bad and pitted they are....

it's bad they didn't really clean up much when I ran the on the daily for a few weeks

Re: Hensey's 1242 8v turbo build

well in that case they prob do need a skim or replacing. I assume its just the rears you mean, being that they do not do much. The front should clean off almost immediately but leave pits. To be honest when i ran PGT fronts and UnoT rears on one of my old cinqs I had issues with the rears endlessly building up surface rust unless I did regular driving like a complete tool - the rears just do so little actual braking.... I have maintained for ages that discs aren't really needed on a cento unless you are going to use the car for motorsport, but they do look cool though lol.

Yeah looking at it the fronts so clean up nicely and just be a shame to throw them always as they look thickness wise they are basically brand new and have no obviously lip you can feel
