Multipla Glopsy

Introduction

Here's my new Multi, pictured on the day I picked her up, resplendent in what looks like a years worth of road grime

I've serviced her, fixed numerous electrical issues including getting the remote CL working again and got her through an MOT a few days ago.

Next up is a drive belt tensioner change, as mine makes a real racket, bleed the clutch to see if I can get a better pedal, change the gearbox oil and then try and find a pair of roof bars before our holiday in May :)
New pump arrived today from All Car Parts in Kent. Hopefully get it fitted on Friday afternoon and then we'll see if that was the issue.

Went to fit the new pump today, which was a partial success. Partial in that the pump now works in both directions but whilst fitting it into the bottle I somehow managed to push the grommet into it.
This leaves me with a working pump but a bottle that doesn't hold water! To make matters worse, that's the second grommet I've lost in there!!

Hi,

See photo, would you like it posted to you?

My grommets arrived today, and I ordered a spare just in case!
Made sure I was a bit more gentle easing the pump nozzle through the grommet and into the bottle this time, which has resulted in working washers again.
I'm still however not getting anything through to the back screen, even though you can hear the pump working. Any common places the back one gets blocked or the pipe coming unattached? My first thought was to fire up my compressor and blow the line through from the pump end?

Managed to pick up yet another puncture today, just what I need on the run up to Christmas and during a lockdown.
I've bought another pair of Hankooks,to match the fronts as I've been quite impressed with them after years of always using Goodyear efficient grips, and have booked a fitting time slot for Thursday.

Popped into Mr Clutch earlier as they were replacing the clutch on my wifes car and this is their quote for Glopsy's,including the dmf. The chap I spoke with reckoned that there was a good chance that the dmf would be fine and then the job would be £418.
Definitely food for thought and at this rate I can see a full on resto happening!

Afternoon all. Just a quick one,has anyone bought a replacement key recently, and if so, where did you purchase the blank and who did you use to code it? Cheers.

Never bought a key on its own bud, I did go the the other way tho = change the complete set up : key and barrel, all door locks, ecu, blah, blah, blah,
Resulted in a greater understanding of the very best and most juiciest words of profanity, oh and knuckles that were sliced n diced to perfection.

It did mean I had a car back in use after the original key (one only) was lost. Plus, it was cheaper to go the long way than buy a Stealer Key.

Morning all, Glopsy is booked in for an MOT on the 15th,and today I'll be giving her the once over to see if there's any obvious fails I can rectify.
One thing that has just started is a whine from the aircon pump. I'm guessing that as the system has a leak somewhere, all the gas has escaped, taking the oil with it?
Apart from that, she's running well and a 50 mile commute in her yesterday has blown a few cobwebs out for sure.
Plans for when the MOT is hopefully passed will be a full service and Id like to hire a decent carpet cleaner and smarten up the interior, but that can wait until the weather warms up.
I'm still on the lookout for a replacement however,as she has lacquer peel on most panels now and the clutch needs changing, which to rectify is uneconomic for me really.
