Punto (Mk1) My punto gt3

Introduction

Thought it was about time I put some photos on here , I have owned the car for 11 years now , it was my brothers previous to me who purchased it in 2000 . it had 17s on it but I had some original wheels refurbed , trying to get it back to standard .

some goodies to put on returning it to standard ride height .
This one can be used on the Saab , I'm hoping it will run better, think you mentioned about it to me ages ago about the turbo spooling up quicker and it will be quieter than the other one . I'm back on the road next month so I will get it on and see how goes [emoji1303]

I've had the car out this weekend and had mi polishing cloths to it ready for the santa pod show next weekend, I hope we have weather like it's been today [emoji41]IMG_2529.JPGIMG_2539.JPGIMG_2269.JPGIMG_2270.JPGIMG_2538.JPG

Had a great day at the fast show , santa pod today , parked amongst 13 other gt's a sight I haven't seen before and meeting a good group of guys passionate about their fiats .IMG_2563.JPGIMG_2557.JPGIMG_2548.JPG

I've booked the car in Wednesday to have all the new suspension fitted , nos springs , rubbers bump stops apart from the shocks . Hoping it's not going to look like a monster truck [emoji12]but the ride is going to be so much better [emoji1303]. It's going to be totally standard then except the stainless exhaust.IMG_2665.JPG

had to change the petrol tank on the gt today , found a slight hole in the filler neck where I'd had it repaired before , think it was the hot weather that pressurised the tank a bit more . I had a second hand plastic one from a 60 s so thought it was time to change it as it's a common problem on the metal gt ones . Had a bit of fun fitting it as two of the original mounting points had to be ground off which i didn't realise , but it's on and hopefully it will now last for years [emoji1303], I'm glad it didn't happen nearer the forza show [emoji33]

Well done sorting fuel tank out.
I think it looks much much better on new suspension.

thanks , i was a bit weary about removing the mounts to fit the plastic tank but the metal ones are always prone to rusting so was never going to fit another one ( that if you could ever get hold of a decent one ) It drives spot on now and i can clear speed humps and don't have to dodge every slight bump in the road [emoji23] .

Attended the classic car show at ashover near chesterfield today , good selection of cars and parked next to a nice x/19 an there was another 2 on the next row .IMG_2838.JPG
