Cinquecento Cinquecento Trofeo

Introduction

Hello all,

Just saying "Hi"

Many of you will recognise this car.

I am now the very happy owner.

Much credit to the previous owner for doing such a great job on it.

For me it is now time to take it to the next level.

Plenty of plans for this little car but first on the list is to put it on a diet.

Just had it on a weighbridge and it comes in at a wopping fat 770kg

Plan to get it down to 600Kg.

Great things ahead.

look forward to other members thoughts and ideas.

Cheers
I was reading Nitranes build threads last night and they made good reading, it's a shame that his Web site no longer operates as there were lots of links to photos and videos that would've been great to see.
Does anyone know what his final engine spec and power output was?

managed to get some time to fiddle with the little car again. Work get in the way of all the fun.

This week ends odd jobs:

1-Heater assy deleted (so much extra room :D)

2-Home made single wiper conversion (quite pleased with that one(y))

3-tailgate removed and sent for painting

4-surplus brackets removed (every gram counts)

5-started making the polycarbonate window set

all in all a happy weekends tinkering

Good to see Pete's old cinq on here your car and my track car PEX used to spend a lot of time together, have stripped the guts out of mine all soundproofing removed including the stuff behind the dash, if you want a silicone hose kit for yours let me know. :)

missed this one until now...

I am not up on rules for any motorsport but the 16v block is not the same as the original 8v block. And if i am not mistaken Pete fitted a 1368cc 16v not a 1242 16v - either way if the reg say it needs the same block then that will never ever pass I'm afraid whether its a 1.2 or a 1.4 16v - The 8v head do bolt onto the 16v blocks but not all the galleries line up.
biggelmo - if you wanted to use P75 stuff it will all bolt up to a 1108 block and you'd just have a 1108 mpi instead of a 1242. Run it off the 75 ecu rather than the spi one, the spi ones do run the 75 engine but not well at all.

Thanks for this blu73, my cinq tuning has moved on a bit now and I'm currently running a 1108 with P75 head and bike carbs, a Panda 999cc electronic distributor, 300 degree cam and making 103bhp.
I've got another engine being built with bigger everything and a power goal of 120bhp.

fair play - just been over to checkout your actual thread... I not been in centoland for a while but been browsing today - seem things have quietened down alot here but leaving more of an enthusiast base of people rather than endless 17 years olds wanting to know how to turbo their seicento for pocket change, which is kinda why i stopped hanging out here originally. I may hang-out some more now (y)

Just fyi my old sei turbo is making a guesstimated 150ish bhp (bum dyno only figure - it made a nudge over 100hp when he bought it from me though) from a 1108. Its not got a decent fuelling setup but thats to be sorted soon, then it can properly mapped and have some power runs done. Proper strong little engines - that car is basically stock bottom end bar it had the pistons machined a little to lower CR. Paul who bought it from me keeps saying he wants to make 216bhp from it because thats a nice round 4x factory power lol. I am sure we will blow something up in the process but thats half the fun!
