Hi there!

I've got a Fiat Uno Turbo I.e from my grand father, before he past away or maybe a years before he past away, he got a problem this this car.

It has a morning sickness (it is cranking but wont start, then after a few tries it will start but doesn't idle properly) it has low RPM until it warm maybe a minute after it starts. but it runs properly, a strong engine I have, but after few hrs, maybe 5 or more it is hard to start again. I already checked the distributor and it has a spark. and I already changed the fuel filter. but it has the same problem till now.

Kindly help me to repair this kind of car I've got.

Thanks a lot

Hi,
I don't know much about the Uno, but early injection systems had a cold start enrichment injector, this could be at fault. Alternatively the ECU may think the engine is warm due to a temperature sensor (or ECU / wiring) fault. Does the temperature gauge work properly?
Does your particular Uno have a diagnostics port (it will be a 3 pin)? if so you should get a copy of Multiecuscan (the free demo is OK to start) and a KKL/VagCom interface with ADAPTER CABLE 1 such as ebay item 251603446444 (try your local ebay with the same search). Look for faults and also to see what coolant temperature the ECU is reporting.
Please remember that this is a hobby group, not a free service, and if members have not seen your problem they may not reply. Also as much information as possible, for example exact model and engine type and size is useful. The same "model" sold in different countries may have a completely different specification or even engine.
