Tipo (Classic) 1.4 Tipo Formula

Introduction

So I got this off of someone in Tring, England.

It has 30K Miles, I have done 800 so far driving it back home to Elgin, Scotland. Been looking for one of these for a few months now! Needs some work but I'm willing to put in the effort for a lovely car like this! Will be getting new Hubcaps, Maybe Respray, Redoing the Upholstery as its torn in the passengers seat, and spraying the badges on the boot again, as they are faded, also need to fix the rear wiper as the water doesn't come out!

So glad I found this classic, apparently theirs only 14 Tipo Formulas left, and I own one!
Hi - i recommend buying new badges, rather than respraying the existing, and use C-Techniq G4 for the plastic - it's so much better than armour all or back to black!!

Yup I was monitoring this on Ebay. Glad someone who cares has got it, it looked great. Give those rear inner arches a clean out, no plastic liners and the rot in there did for mine.

Take the bumpers off and clean / repair everything underneath, also bank on removing all the failing underseal along the sills and under the floors, especially behind the front wheels.

I presume it has the 13" wheels?

Nice find, hope you enjoy it. More photos please. :)

What colour is it? It looks like "Grigio Montalbano"!

Don't actually know what colour it is, looks like navy blue, But my brother works in the fiat parts department, so i'm going to find out what colour exactly it is, then get touch up paint, has a few scratches, I'm also ordering new hubcaps from him as well to fit onto it :)

Like those wheels, they are 13" Yes and in very good nick too.

Yeah I'm glad I got it, I got it to do it up, to factory conditions hopefully! I'm only 18 and it's my first sort of car to do up, I'm glad I won it on Ebay didn't expect to either!

And oh good Idea will take off the arches, My dad used to be a mechanic so he'll know how to show me how to take them off :p If you can? I'm trying to fix the rear wiper as it isn't working, water doesn't spray out of it.

Got the badges at the ready, was going to spray the original silver, But they snapped when de-baging it, So I Bought new ones, Just wondering if I should silicone them on or use industrial glue?

And thanks for the plastic stuff! Going to see if I can buy that anywhere where I live, My brother works in Fiats parts department, so I'm buying genuine new Fiat Tipo hubcaps, Badges, Formula stickers, Air Filter, LT Leeds? anmd touch up paint for my car, Was thinking spraying it red, but I do like it's current colour, I keep changing my mind whether or not I want to respray it, But I want to keep it as original as possible, so i'm just touching up the paint work.
