Marea Marea 20v HLX saloon

Introduction

Here is my Marea saloon that I picked up for a complete bargain
she was abit unloved by the previous owner who had the car since new
she has only done 82,000 miles and rust free,

Future plans :

paint correction
engine cleaning
Belts
keeping the car as Fiat intended

First time I saw here

Here intake pipes were butchered so she would roar

Turbo Badge at the rear (and V8 Turbo badges on the wings)

Soo got her home and a quick clean and some parts replaced with some spares that I had :

New inlet hoses pre MAF
New K&N panel Filter with a new airbox lid
Bosch MAF
Air intake ducting
new battery tray

my old Wagon (that my son owns now)

Have had the Weekend "Star" Wheels Refurbed by my son and fitted

Will be updating as and when new bit and
Nice to see a saloon version getting the TLC it deserves (y)

I once owned a silver 20v ELX and pound for pound it was probably one of the best car I've owned. It was silky smooth fast and sounded glorious plus it was spacious too. I sold it when I bought a house wrongly thinking that I wouldn't be able to afford to run it however on reflection I could of so it became the "one I let go".

Keep up the good work (y)

That's the thing with mine. I've got the saloon which is only a 1.6 and the weekend hlx130 I was thinking of breaking the saloon and stripping back the good chassis parts to fit to my rusting coupe. But it's really too good to break.
But it's only a 1.6sx so it's gutless and has a rank beige interior. Even the dash is beige.

Marea got abit of a detail today ready for Kent Italian car day tommorow,
And also some turned up today
Do you recognize blu73

Well it's been a year since I uploaded pictures of this car ......it's still going strong at 99,000 miles so doesn't move much ....she's looking lovely ......loads of work has been done including a felt end overhaul of suspension components ......

Next for the Marea is :
Paint Correction (still not done)
Rear end overhaul of suspension
The passenger side floor pan is getting a length long plate made
Also looking at getting a stainless Steel replica of the original exhaust system from the down pipe back with a 100cell sports cat fitted ....

I'm also testing LED headlights which make a massive difference compared to the HID units
Will let you know how it's goes
She just passed her MOT today aswell with no advisories ......FB_IMG_1483453246592.jpeg
