Hi everyone,
Well I've had my 1.2 Grande Punto for 12 Months now.
Being 17, the car has been perfect for me fuel wise and insurance wise. I've done the usual, aftermarket stereo and speakers, sub etc.. LED footwells. All done thanks to all of the fab guides on here - Thanks everyone. This Punto is now for sale on eBay, auto trader and the classifieds on here.
Decided to look into getting a new car.
Well, I spotted the Bravo, and decided I want to get my hands on one of them!
Well, I have found a 2009 Bravo 2.0 Sport, in the red/maroony colour!
Put a deposit on it 3 weeks ago without viewing it, as I know they get grabbed up pretty quickly. Went to view it 2 weeks ago. Love It!
Picking it up on the 16th of Feb.
The wait is nearly over for me!!!
I seriously can't wait.
As soon as I've got it I'll put up a couple of pictures for you too see :)
Who said 17/18 year olds couldn't get insurance for a 2 litre with 165BHP without it being under 5 grand. I did. Just shy of £1500. :D

Want a bit of advice from any of you who have a bravo!
I want to buy some new bulbs. I have the Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited's in my Punto. Should I get them for my Bravo? Or can any of you recommend any whiter/bluer bulbs that are as bright, and legal. I'd love HID's, but they are illegal. I know loads of you have done it, but I don't want to risk it....
Does the Bravo have canbus issues with LED's like the Punto?

Fiat rules :slayer:

HID's are great, but it's your perogotive, led's will throw canbus errors. Don't buy the ones that are Canbus error free either because they burn up or blow up. Believe me it's happened to me. Intead use a resistor between the cable and bulb. I have LED's and HID's all round. Not one issue.

How did you get such cheap insurance may I ask? Parents on the insurance I can only presume? Well it's still not cheap but much better than I'd expect for a 17 year old.

Oh right okay! I'll have a look into the resistors.
Yeah, I am the main driver with parents as additional drivers. Parents made it go down £600.
Yeah it's still not cheap, but as you say, good for my age. I will be 18 when the insurance starts, which will have helped (1 years n.c.b)

There's loads of threads about the LED's and resistors. Take a look. I think one of the main threads is to do with LED number plates so take a search for that. They're the same bulbs as the side lights. In that thread is all the info including what LED's and what resistors work well

But the results are very good as you can see
