aint got a clue! i think its the MK2! or did you mean engine wise as thats a 1.2 8V! small but with the green ait cotten induction kit it keeps up with my mates 1.4 corsa!

No not yet mate! i should have when i pic it up from the garage as just had a new gear box fitted! also you dont know where i can get the Fiatforum stickers from do you?

The stickers always used to come from PM'ing Gaz, but i believe from reading posts on the forum that he's no longer doing them (could be wrong but thats the impression i got)

You could easily have some made up from a sticker or vinyl maker, wouldnt cost hardly anything.........hope that helps, and look forward to seeing some more pics of that lovely looking motor

I had planned on doing stuff to mine (2001 8v Go) but after 2 years have only added some oz hydra alloys and a cd changer. Mind you i had it in for a service yesterday and was told it needs new brake pads and disks so am going to upgrade them, i ordered greenstuff sport pads and omp sports disks but just got a call saying they are out of stock (isnt this always the case). Anyway anyone got anything good or bad to say about these brakes.

Oh, and on the "nippy car" side, i mustve got a bad one, coming out of the city (aberdeen) there's a couple of miles of slight uphill dual-carriageway where everything goes past me (old girl in a 10yr old micra for example), plus i got a complimentary car when i had mine in for the service, a 1ltr daihatsu charade and it was a bit quicker going up same hill......not good

I meant nippy in terms of its quick to buzz around in, not that its fast all the time, hills are a bit of a no no if you wanna go quick in an 8v

I bet the old girl in the mirca was loving that lol
Those disks and pads when you evenchally get them will look good with the alloys! my mates got some upgraded brakes and pads on his clio with 17" dare Racing alloys and they look brut! makes and adds more personalty to the car one thinks!

Back to the nippy side of things! i live in Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire! if you have ever been there its rounder about after rounder about! up hill mine isnt that bad providing your in 4th gear as 5 gear you aint got a chance to get up a hill! as i founf out with 4 people in my car with the wheels rubbing on the body kit lol

Is it just my punto but mines been lower 35 mill alround and sitting on 17" unltra low pros as well and the handerling isint all that good! theres no body role etc it just seems to slide alot and the arse likes to play about as well! anyone help me out on what it is and what to do?

I have no experienced of lowered punto's but my lowered stilo handles well, that 50/40 drop with 17's, all depends on what your trying to do with it i guess!

get round corners at about 45 50 mph! it slides eveywhere!

maybe something to do with yours tyres or the road surface??

Nice car buddy... i had a 1.2 8v too.. loved it! They are quite nippy; just let down by top end! Nice work though havent seen many in that colour

Well ive put mine throught roundabouts at 50 odd mph and it handles ok, as its already been said maybe its due to tyres or maybe even the weight of the car? I say drop it lower!

It must be the tyres. My Punto was lowered 35mm and had 17s with nice Nankang tyres on :dead: Talk about understeer......

What tyres are on yours?
