Cinquecento Cinq Abarth Black an yellow

Introduction

hello everybody,
3 months ago I bought my Fiat Cinquecento,
back then it looked like this:

When i bought it, the gearbox was leaking oil at the driveshaft bearing, so as advised by a fellow cinquecento driver, i took out the engine and gearbok, replaced the bearings, cleaned the engine a little and replaced the valve cover gasket

next step, interior..

because I loved driving it(after 1 day) I began loooking for a new driver seat, I actualy found one, but then spotted another gem:

(photo is made before cleaning interiors!)
after cleaning and fitting it looked very nice!

after that i bought myself a new steering wheel, original electric windows and electric locks

the same as my original only stiched with red thread(i think that sentence is not correct)

next upgrade,
a black?!? Abarth kit
yes black, because i can, and at that time i havn't seen another cinq in this color combination:eek:

Yes the creative idiot in me strikes again!

this time i wanted red rings in my dash, but rim liner does not like to stay there (n)
so spray paint it is!(y)

and then it looked sort of dull on those original wheels, so i fitted a set of BBS Mahle 13x7J ET12 :slayer:

I'll keep you updated!
Hey man, glad you're ok. You gpt lucky to walk away from a tree thats for sure! Shame to see a car go like that but good luck on thw rebuild!

A lot of hard work has been done,
Stripped out the engine and cables,
Ordered (not sure if that even is a word) a new front end, radiator and some smal pieces.. Slowly it will get back on the streets..

Yes I'm back,

I have removed the complete Front

And Yes mister mailman came to me, he said tha he had a smal box for me,
(note the box is 160x40x30 cm)

Not much inside even though...

And this is what it will look like with the front fitted :p

Next week the front will be fitted,
The engine that will be fitted is a P75 1.2 8v, so a long way to go :(

Good to see another Cinq saved from the scrap yard. How is the tree? 50-60km that cinq held up really well, one of my worries is a front end crash, because there isn't a lot of metal on the front.

How much was that front panel, and where did you get it from?

Yeah, that tree aint small lol.

I hit a 3 month old golf in my Yellow cinq, yes I lost big time, hit it doing around 10mph and the golf was fine, they didn't even re-spray it but I had to spend 2 days rebuilding my front lol.

Mines the yellow one with the bumper held on with zip ties for the 200mile trip home lol

Yeah.... So far the eco point of the cinq..

Mounted the 1.2 8v, wired her up, still working on a electrical issue.... That big white relais (sorry don't know the english word for it :-$ ) keeps switching on and off....
I will post some pictures later on, I sort of forgot to post on this forum.. so for all the followers.. Keep your eyes open.. This week a huge udate will be posted :D

i think you are speaking about what we call the twin relay.. If its clicking on and off constantly when you turn the ignition on then its almost 100% that you have missed an earth in the engine bay somewhere.

Yeah just figured that out this afternoon, pics are comming soon, a dutch cento club member just brought me a set of bumpers, so my cinq body is complete again :)

long time no post, she is nearly mot ready,
the 900 bumpers are fitted and everything is done,
Work done so far:
Polished intake
Bigger injectors
Supersprint manifold
New cam belt
all new gaskets
redesigned the exhaust system (muffler only)
900 bumpers fitted
sorted out the wiring problem for the blinkers

to do:
fix the brakes...
