Grande Punto My 2008 Eleganza :D

Introduction

I just thought I'd share a picture of my pride and joy. I've had it just over a month, and it's absolutely superb!! :D
It's a shame that manufacturers have forgotten the concept of Keep It Simple Stupid when it comes to car styling.
Definitely the case with most cars of today. Wish someone would release a car with nothing but the essentials at a really cheap price. They would sell by the bucket load

I don't know about that: people seem to think that they need every gadget under the sun in their cars these days. I know my Grande is far from poverty spec, but I really don't want any more kit than what I've already got!

I know a certain amount of it comes down to sheer luck, but my parents have found Renaults to be a good car: the only car they've kept for longer than any of their Renaults was their Punto! (Rust In Peace, W815 OCU)

Certainly, I'd consider a Sandero if I decided to move from Fiat. However, if Dacia were owned by Peugeot or ford, then I certainly wouldn't even entertain the idea of buying 1, lol!

The beast hit 70,000 miles the other day, and is still giving good service. I've covered 22k in it now, and I can honestly say that I don't regret buying it in the slightest! £3995 very well spent, lol! :)

Even the strongest workhorse needs its oat and the vet' cares sometimes …

A good mechanic will check here and there for sign of wear/weak points during that yearly service, so one can ride with a peacefull mind :)

Keep up the regular use and regular servicing! All those million mile Hondas seem to be cars that were driven daily and big miles!

I bought a 08 1.4 Eleganza recently. 54k on it, and I was super sceptical of the interior material lol. The seats are actually quite good and by the way, how much better is it with an arm rest! Haha. And Air Con!

I'm annoyed that I don't have the exterior pack, foglights, side skirts and spoiler. I had an Active Sport previously and it looked a lot nicer from the outside. The Eleganza is fantastic inside though.

I must admit, I do like the discretion of the Eleganza: I like the way it doesn't advertise it's plushness with obvious badging on the bootlid!

Hi everyone I am not sure where to post this. But I have a 2007 Fiat Punto Grande semi automatic. I have been having a few issues whereby when I start it and select 1st gear when in auto it refuses to go into gear and kicks back into neutral. It also grinds when I attempt to select any gear. Then today upoj starting it no grind noise just displays check tansmission see handbook. But also the driver's door does not make the automatic noise it used when opening it. Any help would be great
