Seicento New Seicento

Introduction

Hi everyone. I'm not new to the forum as I had a Barchetta for five years. Recently acquired a rather tired Sei Sporting. Its an Spi with no power steering with only 45k on the clock. It was a bit unloved but after some elbow grease and a good servicing its looking and running great. So a £500 quid bargain which I intend to enjoy!
welcome to cento'dom, i hope you realise your trapped here forever now hahaha.

I am right in thinking T-reg is 1999 am i not - it should have PAS really unless someone has removed it and replaced with cinq bits, only really early sei sportings didn't have PAS.

Other than that, looks good - bit high at the rear compared to front maybe but nice looking sei nonetheless (y)

T is a 1999 but from march - september 1999 - PAS wasnt standard till about mid 1999 so depends when it was registered and its probably older stock anyway so its probably correct rather than had its PAS removed

It is an early 99 model. Its high at the back because the rear tyres are 185/55/14 and the fronts are 175/50/14. They are aftermarket wheels. It should have 13" as standard and the speedo over reads. I want a set of Abarth wheels for it.

As stock they over-read. Optimism is a legal requirement! So, maybe at a real 65 the speedo will show 70.

But the bigger the rolling circumference of the tyre, the lower speed the speedo will indicate at a given "real" speed. Those are the maths.

Find some 6J 14" rims. That way you can run sensible 195/45/14" tyres.

Get in touch if you want to sell your rims.

Really? They are horrible! They need shot blasting and refurbishment. Would do a swap for some decent stock wheels and tyres.

Always after another project ;)

I don't unfortunately have any to swap. But let me know if you get what your after and these are available. What width are they?

Just fit some "correct" wheels and tyres... no point faffing about wondering "what if I try this ???" Keep as close to the original as possible, it was designed and specified for a reason.

Nice little car, should be fun to own and drive..
