Cinquecento Cinquecento turbo new toy/money pit

Introduction

hi new to the fiat scene so please bear with me :) so this is my new to me fiat cinquecento with what looks to be a home made type turbo conversion came to me in a swap the nice guy dropped it off for me on a trailor and forgot to mention it uses more water than fuel still it drives well and pulled like a train but only because the pipe to the actuator was off lol i think its just headgasket thats gone so not to bad so i think i will be keeping the car for a while has i love cars that keep me busy
First, welcome to the forum.

Second, any more details on the car, boost levels, turbo, intercooler, engine management?

Third, normally I don't say things like this, but this time I just have to - have you heard of punctuation mate?

turbo says tdo25l3 i think from what i can see. No boost gauge fitted yet so unsure of boost pressure. car has second injector fitted which is wired to a small black box that looks to be wired to a map sensor . There is also a pipe running from a t piece off the actuator to turbo pipe that runs of threw the bulk head . When i replaced this pipe it lowered the boost and car ran miles better bleed valve maybe ill check under dash when i get chance . No intercooler yet . I think engines standard will check when im doing head gasket.

got these

Well that looks, erm, shall we say interesting.. I have no idea what some of them bits are, that little cylindrical thing looks a bit like a pierbirg valve from a PuntoGT (a bit), what the little black box thing is I have no idea, any markings on it?

I can't really workout how its working looking at the pics - it does look a bit thrown together, i wish you the best of luck trying to figure it all out, keep up posted.

Solenoid valve on the Map sensor looks like a mechanical fuel cut defender. Interesting looks like a completely out of the box approach. Would be nice to see how it would pan out on some instrumentation, clearly constructed by some one who knows what there doing but not familiar (or perhaps interested) with the common Cinq methods. There's more than one way to string a guitar and it's always nice to see new ideas. Still I very much doubt it has anyway near the precision or control of an after market/DET/Wojamathing.

Always nice to see a new turbo on the forum. (y)

small update on my cinq found a few more electronic bits on turbo system i think anyway may be standard but seem to be only newly wired in parts first is a honeywell sensor presume its a map sensor of sorts but google turns up heating boiler parts:confused: another part is a black solenoid see pic all i can think is its a basic setup that runs off manifold pressure then opens second injector at certain pressure when on boost a bit like how my water injection worked on my old rs turbo prob wrong but just my thoughts crap at electrics like witchcraft to me :) i also noticed that timing was out maybe 1 2 teeth on belt ive marked up where it came off has i dont know if this is intentional or its just slipped but as car ran spot on and pulled all way to 8000 rpm thought i best just leave as is ;)
