hi guys.

i now this has been asked before but i cant find a straight answer and i am going mad.

basically i have a 2007 grande punto 1.9 multijet

it has the standard factory fitted blue&me head unit.

i want to install an aux to play music off my phone/ipod.

i purchased the BLUE aux connector... but this doesnt work for me... and apparently it only works on after market head units..

i have heard that there is a yellow aux connector.

can anyone please just give me a straight answer on how to use the aux function... im going mad trying to find a to the point answer..

any advice is appreciated

thanks guys

its something so simple yet it has got me so frustrated, i fitted the blue connector in the back of the stereo, but nothing is picked up. someone then said if i cut and sand away the plastic i can fit it into the cd changer slot, (i would rather have ipod than cd) so i did it... doesnt work. and now i cant return the item as i have had at it.

last i saw the blue&me ipod adaptor things are really expensive.

ive gone from an old fiesta that played my music through wireless bluetooth. to a nice 2007 that hasnt even got aux.

doesnt anyone know if the yellow adaptor off ebay actually works?!

im currently playing music off a usb stick through the usb in the glove box.
but it takes so long to search through songs on the tiny dash display.

just want a straight fix to a simple problem.

like i said, any advice is appreciated

The ipod adapter, get it, its so useful!!!!

When i looked at getting my punto I looked at a 1.4 dynamic sport 2008 (which I bought) and an active sport 2007 (a series 1 version for anyone thats interested). The strange thing is my car has two usb ports but the active sport had 1 usb port AND an aux port in the glove box. I have never seen one since so I dont know if I dreamt this or wether it was aftermarket or official. As I didnt buy that car i never had the chance to have a proper look :(

i agree it will be useful but for £50+...

would rather install a £10 aux. people have done it, just not sure how

Need to disconnect the B&M I believe, and also disconnect the power source for the head unit and then repower it up to reset it and get it to accept the aux lead, this is what I had to do fitting one to our Panda.
