Introduction

A couple of photos of the Punto after a cross town run.

I know it needs a wash!

Now I've not had this for long, and I plan to do a bit to it to make it stand out from the bog standard Puntos, but I would appreciate ideas. Just bear in mind I have a little one and money isn't always easy to come by!

I'll put some more shots up once I've given it a wash and hopefully when the sun is out!

There not punto wheels

But they look good :)

My advice for whats what?

Colour coded wing mirrors and door handles :)

Do i see cloudy light covers? if so, get them sanded back and polished up using the drill kits out there :)

Dont skimp of servicing, these do respond well when it comes to life for a good service!

Thanks, all really simple but effective ideas, some I hadn't thought of too!

I really like the alloys, they are Wolfrace Voodoos, they do need a bit of TLC however.

And don't worry I plan on changing plugs and will do a service at some point, it's finding a day to do it!

Dont worry if you spark plugs with leads 1 day
Then air filter and oil filter next

As long as there done when required it dont matter how

Finally got around to getting it washed, a good scrub with a soapy sponge and then a blast with the pressure washer did it good. Also cleaned up the trim, hoovered the interior out, and applied a fresh coat of rain repellent to the windscreen :) The alloys were black when I started!

LOVE this colour on a punto, I was going to buy a punto in this exact colour, but when we took it for a test drive, there was an awful rubbing noise and the car jolted when the wheel was on full lock - no thank you! - so I ended up getting a yellow active sport and I adore it :)

But if I had to choose another, it would definitely be this colour - I love it, and you've done a fantastic job of sprucing her up!

Thanks :)

Personally I think it's the best colour, it works so well with the interior and gives off a great shine when clean :) I hopefully will be able to do a bit more in the next few weeks, looking to sort out the scratches and dinks and go from there :)

Yes it's a nice colour, the alloys look good on it aswell, you could lower it sort out a sport back box or just a stainless steel pipe ending and pipeping so your exhaust comes out from under your bumper. All the usual stuff it depends how much are you willing to spend and what you want your ride to look like.

Well I just want it to stand out, it's a get me to work car so I don't want to do too much to it. Lowering is out of the option as this is a speed bump town and I have an iffy back!

It is with great sadness that I tell you all that I am getting rid of the Punto. A 3 door isn't great with the little one and the cost of running two cars is starting to take its strain on us, so after much discussion and a lot of reasoning from myself, we finally decided to go down to one car, the Megane (groan.) All is not lost though, as my younger brother is learning to drive so he is having it, and I still get to drive it until the end of June :) I love this car so it will be hard to see it go, hopefully he'll put me on the insurance though :D

So for now, my love affair with Fiat is on hold. You won't get rid of me though, I'll still perv on all the lovely motors on here (y)

Cheers
David
