What am I saying, they are not revolutions, maybe alleycats or oz rims or something? Anyway awesome car for australian climate? You watch mighty car mods?

New cooling box welded in, new rear floor, rust repairs and stripping.

Yes the rust holes were minimal, like you said it must be the aussie climate too survive so well,The underneath is original with no holes, i had to replace the cooling pipes box cos someone angle grinded it to gain access. anyway all sweet more pics soon, cheers for the comments.

Finally got stuck into the engine bay, cramped space to work in, lots of sharp bits to stub yer fingers too. Anyway was pretty clean only some bits too reseal up, good ole scotchbrite down and was ready for priming.Thought i would do rear boot area make the respray a little easier come final painting.

Here's my project. https://www.fiatforum.com/members-motors/342132-one-years-work.html
10hrs a week lots of new panels made and lots of cutting out and welding up, i'm too tight to buy panels and would of probably cost more than the car would be worth in the long run so making everything myself.
Mine is having a Punto GT engine and gearbox fitted they have been in for mock-up purposes so car should be very good fun when finished.
Going for ral2004 pure orange colour.

Great pics Gunna, ahhh the memories of the rear boot floor, i couldnt make the ribs in mine so just left it flat, the steel is pretty thick so it was strong enough. wish i had a turn table, getting sick of crawling underneath lol. Yours looks like it was in worse shape than mine but you have brought it back to life , well done mate keep it up :).

Hi guys, im moving along slowly, replaced the engine, first turn she fired yay, but the car turned over slowly, so gunna replace the starter as all the wiring looked ok. while waiting on a starter ive done all the brakes and suspension, they scrubbed up quite well and should look good when back on the car, also started strippping the bonnet and boot lid, hopefully respray it all at once, if i can squeeze it in the shed :)

Hi booner

Have you read about the 'brown wire mod' to improve starting current?

Google it if you have not. I think the contacts through the ignition circuit and fuse box reduce the current a fair bit. This type of issue also affects the headlights and wipers etc...

I can recommend the headlight relay mod also. I have half done the brown wire mod though.

Finally got the engine running, new starter fixed my slow turn over problem. Now i need a new water pipe, waiting on that so i thought i would some more to the body work. Inside of doors done, under hood and bonnet and the front bay area, sweet the full respray slowly getting closer.
