I have a Y Reg Mk2 Punto which has a ABS problem. During general driving the ABS light is not on bu when breaking the brake pedal judders and braking is not as it should be.

When driving at high speed (motorway) the ABS light on the dash board comes on

Any ideas

one of the wheel sensors is faulty, the judder is the ABS working as it thinks one of the wheels has locked up and you are skidding.
i would check the wiring to the sensors which are behind the wheels

correct,(y)
from experience a mis-match of tyre rolling diameters can have a similar effect,
the juddering is indeed the ABS working,
any work done lately..? to disturb things :(

This sounds like exactly what has happened to me - happened straight after my MOT (but I ignored it for a while) so they probably disturbed it then. Its probably something that most people can fix themselves but for someone like me who has to rely of garages (I have a local independent one which I fairly trust). Does anyone know how much it will cost me?

Thanks guys
