Grande Punto The Black 1.2 Grande ! - Still loads to do

Introduction

Decided i should make one of these

Brought it last year - 1.2 in black, very standard

Haven't really done a lot

- Badge less Grill
- Aux Lead
- Alloy Wheels 17 inch
- New track rod
- New Disks and Pads
- Obviously full service
- Chrome Indicator bulbs in headlights
- New Heater Resistor Pack

Not really sure what i want to do with it, going to have the wheels refurbished and a changed colour after the winter.

And will be purchasing some Team heko wind deflectors and also considering tinting the back 3 windows.

Might go for an all black look, black alloys black windows to match the body

Everyone keeps telling me to lower it but Ive always got a car full of people so don't want to go down that root

Everything i do will be pretty basic as im not the best at the car thing lol !

Really hoping to upgrade to a 1.9 Multi Jet next year if the insurance isn't to bad
Scrap the aux lead, get a decent stereo from halfords with bluetooth.
Dramatically improves the quality of sound from the standard speakers and you have aux/usb/bluetooth ;)
U think so ? Might have to do that then after Xmas ! Always wanted better sound , didn't think I'd be able to get it without changing the speakers

I used to think the same but I was shocked when I put the stereo in, sounds so much better, I don't really need new speakers at all.

Don't get me wrong some music and high volume will shake the plastic and it's not perfect but it's 50x better than the standard fiat stereo ;)

You sure this is a dynamic model buddy. I hope you haven't been mis sold this because it looks like an active model to me. No fogs, no air con, no alloys.

EDIT:
I'm sorry buddy, upon further investigation your car isn't a dynamic model. It is an Active model. If you were sold this as a dynamic i'd definitely enquire to trading standards etc as to why you were mis sold this vehicle. A dynamic model will have air con and alloy wheels and I believe fog lights.

Ahh. That's ok then. Didn't want to think you had been fobbed off by some clown garage. I had the exact same car as you. 1.2 active 3 door black. And I adored it. I now realise it was an absolute snail of a car. But I loved it none the less. If you fancy it you can see my old car thread here it may help with ideas for you. https://www.fiatforum.com/members-motors/305508-my-1-2-active-gp-black.html?highlight=active+black

Mate speakers are good.

Get rid of that stock stereo. Mines a Kenwood Bluetooth.
Although it's been giving me a couple of headaches as of late
Keeps cutting in/out, guessing starter wire has come loose or doing something.

Keep us posted on progress buddy, looks good!:slayer:

Cheers mate, where's the best place to get a good stereo, obviously Halfrauds is the obvious one, just wondered if you knew any cheaper places ? Websites etc

I'd look online, ebay is always good, but a small minefield if you don't know what you are looking for.

I have a Fiat adapter to the back of my unit that goes through into the integrated connection.

Go to Halfrauds for advise, then find it online for cheaper!!!
They are pants, but at the end of the day if you can afford it, it's less hassle (I can just see 100s of fellow Fiat Forum peeps frowning and sighing now LOL LOL LOL!!!)
Alternatively, if you ask nicely, someone might come out and help you with the install mate, loads of awesome guys on here, the moderators and guys who post on here might pop round and help you!
