Cinquecento My '93 1.4 16v Cinquecento

Introduction

Hi everyone,

After best part of ten years with various Italian cars, I'm now back where I started.... with a Cinq!!

I bough it already converted to 1242 16v power but it will be undergoing a lot of work to improve and tidy bits here and there.

Since buying it I've swapped the K&N for a CDA, I've re-fitted the orange front indicators and flushed the coolant and fitted a cleaner expansion tank. Alternator belt changed, that's fun with the engine mount being so close! Major service coming soon as well.

Please excuse the crappy pictures, my phone is rubbish!!

Rear window is tinted, that will be coming off:

Has a 1.6 16v Bravo TB, RR'd at 89bhp:

With my standard Seicento Sporting:

Lots of stuff on the to do list including fitting Spax kit (ordered), move the battery back in to the engine bay, moving ECU to other side of engine bay, polybush nearly everything I can buy a polybush for, put rear seats back in, upper and lower strut bar and fit Uno turbo calipers! Should keep me busy!

Lots more little jobs need doing, car has been keyed so that needs doing as well. I might upgrade to a 1.4 at some point but I won't get too carried away yet!

Overall though it's a cracking little car, so much fun and once I've sorted a few bits (mainly the brakes and the suspension!!) it should be fantastic.

not properly in the box end of not in the back of the clocks properly...?

The clocks are pretty sensitive, get the old cable and stick it in back and twizzle it by hand see if it registers.... If it does then must either be cable not fitted properly or the worm drive bit in the box has snapped - i had the top part the cable fits into snap on a few of my centos over the years.

Bit of an update:

ah didn't know you were there, were you in the cinq, didn't see it if so...

Was good day, even got to see some of my old cars lol.. My cinq was next to my old PuntoGT and Paul who bought my red seicento turbo was there too.

Nah, Cinq not ready in time (can't afford tax and MOT anyway!) so we went in the Panda.

Was good show, some nice cars. Loved the Punto GT, rare to seem them so standard.

Plastidipped the ECU yesterday and blasted and painted some bits in the engine bay so i will get some pics up tomorrow.

yeah block that off, not needed. On the original engine they have this weird pipe that goes from oil breather to intake pipe but also a small pipe that comes off and goes to that - never quite understood why it was there myself, but i just have a little bit of silicone vac hose on that that i stuck some instant gasket on a bolt and screwed into the end to block it. If you want it to be really pretty you can buy silicone vac line stops these days
