1.1 MPI + Ecu Master DET 3

I would like to mount the ecu master det 3 on my seicento for a transformation soft turbo 0.4 bar (I've already fitted methane systems).
I have the ECU IAW 59F hybrid MPI and sequential someone has already connected the det 3 with this ECU?
I would like to use the "det 3" mode not stand alone
I did not understand how to connect the injectors
their original wiring must be connected to a resistor?

If you have an Mpi Seicento the resistors are not needed as the Pico ones are high z.
I don't think anyone in the UK has fitted one with the MF59 Ecu.

Re: 1.1 MPI + Ecu Master DET 3

The original injector wiring needs to be connected to a resistor on certain ECU's to stop it thinking there is a fault/going into limp. This simply means adding a resistor of the correct value (just measure the resistance of the original injector) and the correct wattage or higher (use this calculator http://www.ohmslawcalculator.com/ohm...calculator.php, just insert the voltage and resistance to find the wattage). This will make the ECU think the original injector is still conected.

That is if you're going to run the stand alone fueling, but by your post it would suggest you're not.

Standalone would be the sensible option as I doubt you'll be able to modify the sequential signal. IIRC there is the possibilty to use an alternate system that alters the map settings to modifying fueling. This is documented somewhere in the manual.

With turbocharging and different fuels I'd probably opt for the FIT (standalone fueling) regardless. The bank fire is known to be wonky at best so modifying a poorly implemented fueling system is highly unlikely to be optimal.

The only thing that might cause trouble on the MPI otherwise are the cam sensor when changing timing and second Lambda. This is still an unknown since no one seems to have experimented with the MPI ECU yet. Small differences in timing between the cam and crank may, or may not upset the ECU, this remains to be seen. The Lambda could be easily fooled if required with some simple electronics creating a square wave or the dreaded tin foil mod.

I think that it'snt possible modify the sequential fueling, and the only solution
is use FIT (standalone fueling) with the injectors connected in bank fire.

The second lambda it's connected electrically but not inserted in exhaust and work fine.
The only thing that might cause trouble is the cam sensor......
which resistor you have connected for your original injector?

I bought a 25w 16ohm resistor but I haven't connected it since my ECU didn't go in to limp with the injector disconected. This alowed me to use the original injector supply for my new injectors and disregard the original ECU earth.

However yours being MPI you'll need to work out the values with the Ohm's law calculator and fit at least two with wiring modification or four without.

Re: 1.1 MPI + Ecu Master DET 3

I see on youtube a seicento 1.1 turbo lpg and DET2 with ecu IAW 4AF

and 1.2 16v turbo with DET3 and ecu 8F

in the wiring manual det3 there is a scheme of connection with 4AF
(used on seicento euro3 mk2 after 59F)
i read that sensors are the same of 1.2 16v
i think that sensors of 4AF are the same of my version with 59F

x honeymonster: you use FIT mode with Speed Density ?

anyone have a pinout of IAW 4AF ?

Which one is the 4AF?

If it's the micro ECU then there should be one in the Seicento Technical Manual (downloads library) and, I suspect, in the Lancia Y manual (on the Peer 2 Peer networks, in Italian).

If it's the one that replaced the micro ECU, I've never seen a pin out or a wiring diagram, but just about everything can be worked out just by tracing the wires back.

Yes I do, FIT Alpha N is not suitable for turbo chargers as it basis the Map on throttle position rather than throttle position and airflow (Map sensor pressure). Alpha N is only suitable for naturaly aspirated engines with stupidly lumpy cam shafts.

Forced induction all the way for me.
