Felt just awful.

Looking into who can sort the welding on the rear floor (previous bodges need sorting properly).

I'm ashamed to say it was necessary, and there may still be more to do

Re: About time really

Running problems have returned

Temp gauge goes to about half way, before stuttering and cutting out.

Seems to happen around when the fan should cut in.

It's been fine when the weather's been cold.

Re: About time really

Mmmm, i would still suspect an earthing issue looking back at the long list of codes the ecu reported... Suggest cleaning all the earths you can find in the bay and cleaning the battery posts and lead contacts.

Re: About time really

Check the radiator cap, maybe its passing pressure (sorry if this may sound confusing). It happened to me, my fan wasn't working because the cap was letting the radiator pressure pass. I had to spend just 11 to fix it.

Re: About time really

Easter Weekend I did this:

Downside of this is I found this:

More rust, plus the running problem... I'm having 2nd thoughts about continuing.

A mate of mine has a white Mk2 he's willing to sell, but this is a Mk1 Punto with A/C, and how many of those can there be?

Think the best way to describe how I'm feeling is conflicted.

Oh bugger, believe me I know the conflict.. It's hard to call it a day when you've "wasted" so much money already..
