Seicento Seicento Abarth 1.1

Introduction

About time I made a thread for our second car,
Its used by Carly (quite a few have met her at local meets and FF shows)
We originally had a 899 sx seicento and seen this sei abarth advertised very close to us :) so we decided to change..

Anyway over the year we've owned this its had a few suttle changes..

FK lowering 40mm springs
Interior roof and A pillars re-retrimmed in Red
sprayed alloys in anthracite with red speckles in the paint (can't really notice it unless you look closely haha)

the previous owner had sprayed over the Abarth Grille and other bits of the car in red but it started chipping away and looked a mess so all the mesh was taken out sprayed back to black and the Abarth Grille was re-sprayed

Future plans.

GT3 custom Exhaust (may be on in time for MITcar)
Carly would like to lower it some more..
i was actually in hysterics following James down the lanes near stanford, the catching and bouncing of lola is just hilarious to follow. Eklipze3k's sei has FK70/50 and really its not that bad to drive around - you just really have to be careful to not smack the sump or rear gearbox mount - and the supersprint on that hangs a tad low too as its a 1242 one.

ultimately how low you can go without issues depends mostly on where you drive the car - there is so many speedbumps around me that super lows has never even really been an option. Members who have been to my house will confirm, you have to tackle some pretty big ones to get to my house no matter what way you drive here. Thankfully the one right at the edge of my drive isn't so bad

challage accepted (y) *off to wind the coils down *

Well over the past few days I've had some fun with this car replacing the ignition system and dealing with a P0300 fault code (ramdom/multiple misfire detected) since the car didn't really get a run over 4k rpm/70mph the 'flashing' eml was never triggered, anyway turned out it was a failing spark plug and I performed a pulley wheel learn since I checked the timing and the tension on the cambelt.

now the above has been solved and tested for over a week I've been using the sei for work having it on motorways all day for work and its running a dream :)

managed to purhcase a rather rare 'optional extra' too, an original lineaacessori Meta remote locking kit (with two fobs which appear to be 'not used' as there is no wear/marks on the buttons) which was a nice little find, fitted and works well :)

I've got same code coming up on mine and again no eml. I fitted new plugs when I bought the car (although the old ones where all ok)and have changed leads to bosch ones but still no luck! Next to try are 2 new coil packs and then its looking at the stooopid micro ecu!
Glad yours is all sorted though-it looked good at Mitcar at Hardwick (y)

just test the Coils no need to fork out if they are working :)

do you have a full version of FES/MES? also if you have changed the timing belt try a fiat phonic wheel learn might do the trick :)

Not tried the phonic wheel thingy yet as I thought it was for new ECU?! Is it where you let fan kick in and then rev to 6k a few times and switch off? Do i need to disconnect battery first? Was doing it before the cambelt change though(knew about it when I bought car)!
Also not checked the coils yet-whats easiest way to test them?
Sorry for all the questions but a search just confused me even more as loads of different opinions on it!

Oh and no I don't have any version of the FES/MES thingy!!

edit
"Found" a copy of FES. It comes up with same code again-cleared code, switched off and started-code re-appeared. Cleared again and this time just turned ignition on and code had come back without engine running!!
Anywhooo have done a reset thingy and a phonic wheel thingy and will see what happens-oh and it annoyed the neighbours when the sei's janspeed got to 6000rpm but it did sound nice!!!
Will post this on my members motors thread to keep yours clear
cheers
