My 2011 model year ducato 425000 kms done more to follow Living the dream

Heres the large versions, must have spent a fortune on it? Did you put a skid plate on it too, was diff lock an option from factory?

The most obvious new "feature" is the bull bar.

In Australia, vehicles fitted with an airbag or manufactured to comply with ADR 69 - Full Frontal Impact Occupant Protection or both ADR 69 and ADR 73 – Offset Frontal Impact Protection, can only be fitted with a bull bar which:

• has been certified by the vehicle manufacturer as suitable for that vehicle or
• has been demonstrated by the bull bar manufacturer to not adversely affect compliance with the ADRs or interfere with the critical airbag timing mechanism, as the case may be.

I wonder, does this bullbar meet the requirements? It could be more of a danger than a safety feature.

Hey Pete after much consultation with engineers and the use of airbag compatible mounts as well as involving my insurance company and the mirriad of adr compliance the bullbar is compliant to all relevant adr standards

I think 425k in 2 years consitutes workhorse!!

thanks for the compliments it is a workhorse first and foremost added an extra 200l tank in the rear steinbauer power chip raised the front end eciplse head unit with alpine 1000watt amp alpine type r speakers and a 12.5 inch sub under the passengers side seat all controlled through the fiat steering controls few teething probs could have set fire to it at 65000k but its sorted now as i said living the dream cheers Adam

With the "Hopper Knocker" label,

I don't think pedestrians were the overriding design concern

and the broken hub cap would make it illegal under UK Construction and use regulations!!

I like the dust reducing air intake,
BUT what does the flexi mounted pole do..!!,
I've seen ( smaller ones) on Truck rigs too..!!

hubcap was replaced soon after pics were taken flex pipe is a mobile phone aerial telstra may have 95% of the population covered for phone service but definately not 95% of the land mass as for pedestrian protection any vehicle hitting a pedestrian at speed is a concern but in the places i go and the wildlife i have to contend with being stranded on the side of the road is not an option

Yes indeed. And here is a picture of the vehicle of a leading politician in Australia; he campaigned hard to stop the introduction of regulations to make bull bars safer for pedestrians - I wonder why?

must admit when i was in Oz i was amazed at how many cars had bull bars, you see them on everything big and small. That Ute is particularly impressive example though.
