500 (Abarth) My 595 Competizione

Introduction

Well at long last I have an Abarth. I had originally ordered a Punto SuperSport but walked into the show room and fell in love with this beauty instantly.

I'm mega chuffed and the Monza just puts a huge smile on my face!

The more I look at the car the more I think it's sitting a little high, going to look at getting some Eibach springs to drop it 30/35mm

I think that the esseesse springs are manufactured by Eibach (not 100% certain) but I guess that is to Fiat's spec and they make differing lengths and spring rates for the aftermarket. If you do go lower maybe a good idea to consider fitting the shorter coupe bump stops at the same time. Looking forward to seeing it when lowered and opinion of difference in ride quality.

The Eibach pro-kit springs that can be purchased from TMC will drop the car 30/35mm, I've seen another 595 on another forum that's done the same and it make it look at lot better.

I'll have a look at fitting the bump stops. Will more than likely do it at the same time. Next job is convincing the GF's Dad to let me take the car up his garage and do it there on a Saturday lunchtime lol

Decided to swap out the standard DRL bulbs for some Dual Filament Mtec ones, much better colour over all, next step is to change the high Beam bulb to one that's more of a cool white than a warm white.

Here's a comparison pic, left is the new one, right is the standard bulb.

Quite a difference and for the better(y)

I was looking at PIAA H1 bulbs as a full beam replacement but at £60 a pair I'll have a look at some others! Haha just need to find some super white ones now.

I might see you there at MITCAR depending on when the Mrs books our holiday.

Really Impressed with these Mtec Bulbs, so much so I've ordered a set of Mtec Super White H1 bulbs for my Full Beam bulbs as they just look even more out of place now!

Next purchase is definitly the Eibach Springs to give it a lower stance.

Here are some better pics with the Mtec DRL bulbs in
