Panda (Classic) 900 Dance 1992

Introduction

Panda's are definately breeding. I collected this from a forum member who had owned it for 13 years but was moving on to more sophisticated transport

I bought it blind after reading a posting saying it had to go. I assumed that I would be using it as a donor but that little bit of filler in the n/s rear arch is all the rust it has.

Even has the rear shelf although it seems to have seen some action over it's 20 yr lifetime.

I am addressing a few issues but it drives well and will be a lovely little car.
Bought it 'blind' you say?

That interior should have an advisory of 'wear sunglasses at all times'

Not a car to drive after a big night out :p

You'll get some good before and after pics on that faded paint :)

Congrats on your addition to the fleet! (y)

Did a satisfying little job tonight.
The passenger door literally sprang open as soon as the door button was pushed and it was difficult to shut, which probably explained why the interior door handle was almost completely off.
I've had this before, it is when the bottom door hinge bends slightly. I can only imaging this happens when the door is flung open against the stop.

You might be able to see where the hinge part which the door pin passes through isn't level with the reast of the bracket.
Anthow I changed it for a second hand one and now the door is a delight to use.
Unfortunately the damage has already been done

I'm guessing that the hinge was also creating a stress point down the edge of the door as you can see some ruty bubbles. Guess I'll have to investigate
