Panda (Classic) Our Mint Blue 750L

Introduction

Well, better late than never. Not much to say really, as you all know we collected our 2nd 750L a few weeks ago now. I've not really done anything except fit some front speakers, and change the wheels and tyres as some were in a shocking state with side wall cracks (as seen below).

Not really any real plans as I'm planning on keeping her standard and as is except for repairing the only minor scrape she's got, giving her a good wash, clean, clay, Polish and Wax, bit of back to black, as well as a good waxoyl underneath :)

MOT booked for Friday, and hoping should be plain sailing :)

No probs at all Jon??

Nope, just one advisory for weeping front shock, was an advisory for the last MOT 2.5 years who :p

Will be getting it changed soon though.

Had to muck about last night, adjusted the headlamp beam level and one bulb was fault and shooting the beam everywhere, and another had perfect beam pattern but kept going on and off. 3rd bulb lucky :)

Well I've been busy this weekend. Gave Vicky a wash, got all the grime out of the rear wheel arches to show no issue what so ever within them, alway gave the bumpers and trim a good going over with some back to black :)

Then gave her a good service, adjusted the timing on the dizzy and she's running a lot better, although still not 100%, will wait for my expert friend to have a play sometime soon.

Also completely cleaned down the engine bay, don't think it had ever been cleaned, took a few hours but you can now practically eat your dinner off of it :D

You'll have to wait until tomorrow for pics thought

I then set about cleaning the engine bay, no hard work, just engine degreaser and water. Pictures don't really do the before and after justice really, but very pleased with the result, almost an engine bay to eat your dinner off of :D

I then back to blacked the bumpers, although they could do with going over once or twice more :)

Small update, bumpers are now jet black, surprising what a good few coats of back to black can do.

Spent the weekend at my mates and he tuned her up a bit, replaced dizzy and rotor arm, although she's still not 100%, but close enough for the moment.

Fixed the jammed handbrake switch so the warning light on the dash now works, fitted some uprated brake light bulbs, although I'm not convinced, and started to T-cut (yes slap on the wrist) and wax her. In addition to this I also completed a coolant change (and good flush in the process, but was relativly clean), and have fitted my show plate surrounds and order a nice new set of pressed number plates. :D

She's going into the bodyshop tomorrow to touch up the minor blemishes before Panda camp :)

Video of the quick response brake lights, left has the uprated bulb fitted and right doesn't, see if you can notice any difference.

Brake lights appeared to come on together but maybe the n/s is a little brighter.

Looking forward to seeing it at Panda camp. :) Be sure to bring the Tcut and Back to black with you!

And I'll throw them in the bin for you!!! :p

Haha. I'll let you thrown the T-cut away if you bring it's substitute that's a better product and give me a demo :p my back to black Gel stays though as it really is bloody good stuff IMO.

(Ha bet it was a can that's been in the garage for years and he just couldn't bring himself to throw it away...)

:ROFLMAO: you've got it in one! Waste not want not and that :p

Decided to give Vicky a bit of TLC today before setting up for the winter. Took her for a small spin in the village to blow the cobwebs away, and have taken the battery out of her to keep charged in the garage. Now about or SORN her for the winter. Bring on April when she's put back on the road :slayer:
