Some info:

Engine type: 156A3.000 [999cc]

some pics
Just saw your Pictures... WOW!

Very nice and active 4x4 :)

You have a suspension kit? Very nice setup .. love the bull bars <3

thats what i have in mind to be honest!

Give me info :) :slayer: (y) (y)

Cheers we're always out getting the Pandas muddy :D

Suspension is basically 20mm spring packers front and rear - any more than this and you have to changed the left hand side drive shaft flange into the gearbox for a modified one off a Fiat 127, and the camber must be reset by drilling out the hub mounting holes. Bigger tyres help lift it too.

The bull bar has now been removed as I am looking to make a better one - that one was a Bedford Rascal one modified to fit - I've still got it in the shed if you are interested in it :slayer:

A Bit busy these days....

Lot of work is going on :)

Bought ...

New Sachs shock absorbers all 4.

New tie rod ends.

New bush for the steering rack.

New bush for 4x4 knob.

Used top mount strut plates.

New top mount strut bearings.

New water plug for engine.

New Gearbox & differential oil

New oil and air filter

New spark plugs.

New timing belt, auxiliary belt.

New water pump.

New head and camshaft seals.

Fresh 10w40 Semi synthetic engine Oil.

Disassembled and cleaned the carburator.

Hopefully until the end of the weekend, Panda will be ready :)

Im going to buy a new set of 14's to replace the 13's.

Next on the list is the double sunroof, going to be disassembled and reconditioned especially the rear one as it has corroded badly.

I still need to fit a radio headunit and a fresh rear light... oh and a pair of wipers..

Thats all i think! did i miss anything?

All changed all replaced :)

Im waiting for my Suspension struts [4] and i have ordered the air scoop for the bonnet, a new grill and a new rear light [reverse one].

all parts installed and Panda is ready to come home as soon as the easter holidays are over and fedex delivers the suspension :)

i have an offer for these Alfa Romeo 33 alloys.. what do you think?

wheel is on without the strut, i dont know how much clearance there will be.

whats wrong with the 14s on the 4x4? :)

Yes be very VERY careful that they don't rub through the filler neck pipe - especially if you are going off road or carrying passengers... I haven't done that... honest...

...And let me tell you over here they're a pain in the bum to get hold of original filler necks!

Nonetheless your car will be flying after all those new bits, great to hear the effort you are putting in (y)

I have 175/65-14 with regrooved winter/offroad tyres with 12mm deep tread{ bigger diameter than "tarmac" new 175/65-14 tyres with 8mm deep tread} they are 59.5cm { 145/80-13 are 56cm} plus 10mm spacers front and rear. There is no problem with rubbing the filler pipe while doing offroad with 4 people onboard. Btw: there is a plastic wheel arch-cover, or whatever the name is in english :) beetwen the tyre and the filler-pipe on my 4x4.The first to be rubbed by the oversized tyre.

i will keep it in mind thanks.. most probably in Tuesday im going to fit the new suspension and make the wheel swap. we will see.

is there a fast way to rise the front 2cm without buying the spacers? [anyone made a pair, anyone has a drawing?]

on the rear im going to fit the 2cm spacers under the leafs.

No fast way of doing this, either fabricated spacers or rear springs from skoda favorit. Here, a simple drawing of my 20mm spacers, a pic. of them, and a pic. of my friends 4x4 with skoda favorit springs, the gain in the ride height is visible.{on the pic the wheels are 165/80-13 on 4.5x13}

If you put the spacers at the bottom of the spring you should really cut the spring seat into the top of them, but if you put the spacers on the top of the spring you dont have to do this.

The skoda springs are a great option but you get 5cm lift with these (unless you cut them down) which means you must replace the drive shaft flange on the gear box with a fiat 127 one, and also alter the camber by drilling out the hub carriers
