Update

So the Fly eye Kit was opened and from the Videos it looked very easy to work with. Well, I'd say it is relatively easy but not like in the video clips!

I know it's a marmite thing but I thought I'd give it a whirl and im quite happy with the outcome.

I like the dedication to the photo element of the mod (y)

Blends well with the rest of the car, great (imho) that we have Cooperman who highlighted having fogs with yellow tint and Gavin who went more stealth route. Get to see two completely different approaches to modding. :slayer:

Have to say I don't quite understand this mod, but at least you've not put it on your headlights like some people out there!

I'd agree it does blend in well and looks pretty good.. I'd like to see a shot of the whole car though. My only concern would be that both the last mods you have done will have reduced the effectiveness and light output but thats probably because I'm old.

It does serve the purpose of protecting the fog lights from stones and debris, pretty much all my cars have ended up with cracked fogs at some point.

actually it does and Gavin will correct me if I'm wrong but this mod came into mind after he had an accident where a member of a wild animal group attacked his fog light head first.... :D:

Thanks but neither have reduced the light output. The indicators are still as bright as are the fogs. The beauty of fly eyes re that they don't reduce the light output or the light pattern.

I understand that this might not be to everyone's taste but if we were all the same life would be boring!!

Have a read on their website. It covers all the light regulations etc if that floats your boat lol

From all the photos etc ive seen there is no reduction of light but I haven't put any on the headlamps as of yet.

The site even says there's a reduction in output though :)

On fogs it's not going to matter tbh but looks silly on the headlights I've seen and will probably be illegal soon enough anyway.

I'm not going to argue about the law, con and use as I do that enough at work but it passes MOTs so thats enough in most people's eyes.

I just don't understand the whole issue a small group on here have with it.

I don't know about this fly eyestuff (and I'm probably too old for this stuff anyway), but the tinted siderepeaters are 100% just as bright as the white ones.
Had them for years on the Stilo. The good thing is: You just see them when they are working.
They are not homemade, but come from a factory.

While they are legal they can not work without reducing the output whether it is by 1% or more or less I don't know but a darker tint means less light will be transmitted.
