Punto (Mk2/2b) My Fiat Punto M2b 1.2 8v

Introduction

this is my fiat punto Mk2b, i have not made many modifications to it as of yet but i am hoping to in the future, any suggestions?
another little update, i had been looking around the forum and was really liking the look of tinted rear lights on the punto's. so i brought some tinting spray and had a go at doing mine, it didn't turn out as well as what i had hoped, due to my hopeless ability to spray evenly they turned out a bit patchy in places (n), so i may have to buy some tint remover and some move tinting spray, and give it another try in the not to distant future, but that time i may take the units off and spray them in doors, as the constant breeze did not help matters. any way here is some pictures of my attempt at it.

car needed cleaning, but i was in a lazy mood so decided to take it to a hand car wash instead, which i have to say did a brilliant job!

Looking good man!

I finally got the motivation to clean my Punto after it being off the roads all that time :D

The water was pure black after

Does that hawk kit have alarm too? I have a cheapo kit on my punto and does the trick...

Benny

I was away on holiday for a few weeks so when I got back the car was filthy, I don't think the water was far off black either. And I was looking at the alarmed systems but I didn't no how good it would be and I didn't want it to be one of them annoying alarms which goes off if the wind blows aha, thought the standard remote central locking kit would be fine for what I wanted it for :)

Aha should of seen the water with my car it was near black as tar

It wasnt washed since 18th Aug (mitcar) when the old engine died, i guess it was left on the drive to collect all sorts of crap lol ah well :p

Yeah i know what you mean ive been hesitant of alarm kits, they tend to be highly sensitive, last thing you want is neighbours knocking on your door complaining about your car!

At least it's all fixed now and clean :), I really want to see your car in the flesh, its just to far away to come to meets unfortunately :/

Oh cool :). Well you'll have to let me no if you do, and if in free we will have to meet up :).

Yeah I will do :) Just at the moment don't want to put any stress on new engine yet just letting it bed in until ive covered some miles, so the ECU is all happy, as after engine swap the ECU wasn't at all happy still isn't so its needs a bit of time to get use to new engine,. thats computers for you:devil:

Yeh I would want to wear it in first if I was you too, and yeh I bet the ECU's having a s**t fit at the moment trying to get used to the new engine aha

aha yes certainly a fit! like the other day started it and ecu couldnt understand things, so rpms were way below 900rpms, put a bit of gas on and it'd stall:bang: so i did a little trick, turn off, turn back on to ignition and left it on ignition for a few minutes so ECU, Body Computer and all sensors can communicate with each other, then started it and it fired up straight away and idled correctly, so it goes to show ECU's really don't like engine swaps:p

You could reset it couldn't you? Or would that be more of a hinderance ?
